Suraj was an orphan who, in the form of a weak child, encountered the ruthless dacoit Halkaan Singh in a trash bin when he was fleeing from the police. Using him as a shield, Suraj managed to escape from the police, and since the child’s presence saved his life, he decided to keep him. However, he treated him like a dog, and he was often referred to as Halkaan’s ‘puppy.’ The constant exposure to the child’s endless horrors eventually turned him into a mentally disturbed individual.

In the end, Suraj escaped with a kidnapped girl named Sonu from Halkaan’s hideout. However, while running away, both fell into a river and got separated. Suraj then fled to Mumbai, where his life took a positive turn when he met his uncles, Adrak Chacha, Haldi Chacha, and Dhaniya Chacha. Initially, he used to secretly practice in his gym, but seeing his dedication, his uncles allowed him to exercise openly. Adrak Chacha helped in building Suraj’s muscles, Haldi Chacha trained him in martial arts, and Dhaniya Chacha taught him archery.

Due to personal reasons, Suraj became Doga. However, a former member of Lion Gym, Kilota, orchestrated a massacre by the goons of Lion Gym to take control and run the gym. Witnessing this in front of his eyes, Suraj decided to hide his identity again and became Doga. He eliminated Kilota’s gang, fought against organized crime in Mumbai, and later killed Halkaan Singh, who had become a minister in Mumbai.

    Born in Blood

The story of Doga unfolds gradually, much like in the “I Love You” comics where we find out that the Sonu he lost in the river is the same person named Monica, and he is in love with her. Or in the “Kyu Feka Kude Par” comics, where we learn about Doga’s family, that his father is a retired judge, and he has two brothers and a sister. However, the comic authors do not explicitly confirm in any comic whether Doga is indeed a part of this family or if the DNA match is just a coincidence. Perhaps that’s why there is no mention of Doga’s family in any subsequent comics, and maybe readers did not want Doga to leave his four uncles behind.

In the “Born in Blood” comics, we learn about the untold aspects of Doga’s life when he escaped from the dacoit Halkaan Singh and was kept in a correctional facility by the police.

The “Born in Blood” comics narrate the grim story that unfolds between being in the correctional facility and reaching Mumbai, where Suraj’s childhood turns harsh. His affinity for dogs grows, and he develops hatred towards criminals. The comics consist of six parts, starting with a few pages narrating Doga’s childhood and then returning to the present. The titles of these comics are “Doga Tere Khauf,” “Nasoor Doga,” “Nikal Pada Doga,” “Bhukha Doga,” “So Ja Doga,” and “Born in Blood.”

Unlike other superheroes, Doga doesn’t possess any superpowers. He relies on his combat skills, especially in martial arts and boxing, along with his remarkable physical strength and endurance acquired through years of intense training in his uncle’s gym. Doga’s personality is bold and heroic, and he employs various weapons and guns. Additionally, he has a strong will and can endure pain. His notable trait is his intense hatred for criminals, and he shows no mercy towards wrongdoers. Doga is known for his relentless pursuit of criminals and often uses the sewer system to escape or chase down criminals.

    Friends And Enemy

Certainly, Doga’s list of enemies is extensive, or one could say it was, because Doga’s enemies are not supernatural entities like ghosts or sorcerers. His adversaries are corrupt individuals and criminals who are eating away at society like termites from within. Therefore, Doga has a single rule – he doesn’t solve problems; he eradicates them from the roots, as his clear stance is that all wrongdoers must perish.

Hence, Doga has numerous enemies, but all of them meet their end. Only a few fortunate ones manage to escape each time. Among them, Kala Paheliya holds the top spot, and another adversary is Ghuspethiya, although their current whereabouts have not been revealed in any of the comics.

Doga’s philosophy is driven by a relentless determination to cleanse society of those who exploit it. His enemies are not just individuals; they represent the systemic corruption and crime that he seeks to eliminate.

Certainly, while Doga is the embodiment of terror for wrongdoers, his alter ego Suraj is nothing less than a child for those who care for him. The four uncles – Haldi, Adrak, Kali, and Dhaniya – are his support system, and for Monica, he is life itself.

At one point, Inspector Cheeta, who initially hated Doga, left his police job and started assisting him in his mission. Doga is not just a vigilante; he is a multifaceted character with complex relationships and a profound impact on those around him.

Doga remains one of the most celebrated superheroes in Raj Comics, and even today, after all these years, the Doga comics continue to resonate with readers.

    Monica (Lomadi)

She is Inspector Cheetah’s younger sister, who initially transforms herself into a fox due to her hatred for Doga, wanting to uncover his true identity. When she discovers that Doga is, in fact, her long-lost brother Suraj, she resolves to assist him. Despite her dislike for Doga’s brutal methods, she develops a deep affection for him. However, Doga remains unaware that Monica is the fox, even though Cheetah knows the truth about his sister.

    Doga’s Four Piller

Adrak Uncle, once a heavyweight lifting champion, now runs the Lion Gym for Doga, acting as a father figure. Dhaniya Uncle, Ginger’s younger brother, is a former heavyweight boxing champion and currently runs his own boxing school known as the Sher Boxing Den. Doga learned the art of boxing from him. Haldi Uncle, another brother of Adrak, is a specialist in martial arts. He runs a martial arts center named Sher Okylate, and he provided Doga with training in martial arts. Kaali Mirch Uncle, the youngest among the brothers, is a champion sharpshooter specializing in firearms and explosives. He operates a training center called Sher Aim Club, where Doga honed his shooting skills under his guidance.

    Inspector Cheetah

Inspector Cheetah – The name carries as much significance as the spots on a cheetah. It is renowned in the police department, just like the spots on a cheetah. This fame extends from college and school days to the local community. Even his mother affirms that he is truly a cheetah. While his physique may not resemble a cheetah’s, his mind, agility, sharp eyes, and the courage to tear through challenges are just like a cheetah’s. He possesses the same spirit and determination to conquer obstacles.
