‘Gojo’ is a hero whose world is full of mysterious forests, ancient tribes, and spiritual powers. The comics “Gojo Aur Monkont”, written by Tarun Kumar Wahi and made under the artistic direction of Rahul Deshpande, is considered one of the most emotional and action-packed stories of the Gojo series. This story is not just a superhero’s victory saga, but it is also a story of duty, revenge, and the great sacrifice of a father that shakes the reader’s heart. Through this review, we will descend into the wonderful world of Gojo, where powers enter the body in the form of spirits and where the cost of justice is very heavy.

The wonderful world of Gojo and the mystery of his seven spiritual powers

The character of Gojo is different in its kind in Indian comics. He is not a hero armed with any technology or powerful by birth, but his strength is hidden in the seven great spirits (Seven Spirits) that are within him. Whenever Gojo gets into big trouble, he uses his seven powers—Shakal (falconry power), Destroyer (incomparable force), Gurughantal (intelligence and sticky substance), Lightning (electric waves), Third Eye (cataclysmic fire), Judo (war art), and Billora (amazing agility). In “Gojo and Monkont”, the author has shown the use of these powers very thoughtfully. This form of Gojo makes him different from other heroes because here the fight is not only about strength but also about concentration and spiritual coordination. Readers are always curious about which power Gojo will call next time.

Mankara’s Vengeance: When a father’s insult gave birth to a dangerous enemy

The main confrontation of the story begins when the princess of the kingdom of Mankonda, ‘Mankara’ (Mankara), enters. Mankara is the daughter of the Mankonda emperor ‘Mankont’ and is a very powerful warrior with the strange form of half-human and half-spider. Mankara has a deep hatred for Gojo as she feels that Gojo has insulted her father, Mankont, and kept him in his slavery. Burning in the fire of vengeance, Mankara imprisons Gojo in a magical cage.

Here, the author has given good depth to the character of Mankara. She is not an ordinary villain, but a daughter who is ready to go to any extent to honor her father. By hanging the key of the cage in her ear coil (Bali), she challenges Gojo, which creates tremendous suspense in the story.

Terror of ‘Jaljala’: When the earth started bursting and doomsday came closer

While on one hand Gojo is in captivity, on the other hand Karuvat Nagar faces a problem that can destroy the entire civilization. A huge and strange creature, ‘Jaljala’ (a big centipede-like demon), emerges from under the earth. Wherever this creature passes, the land starts sinking and big houses turn into debris. King Dhindhora Dev and his army appear completely helpless in the face of this disaster. The scene of “Jaljala” creates fear in the minds of readers and shows how small human strength is in front of the mysteries of nature. This demon is not just a creature, but a moving graveyard growing to swallow the entire city. This is where Gojo’s freedom and his powers are felt to be most needed.

Exciting war: A fierce attack by the powers of the Destroyer and Bijlika

When Gojo emerges from the cage and comes into the arena, readers get to see the real action. Gojo faces not only ‘Jaljala’ but also Chikna, Ghansu, and other strange enemies. In these scenes, Rahul Deshpande’s artwork comes out with full brilliance. Gojo’s powerful attack with the power of ‘Sankharak’ and scorching the enemies with the power of ‘Bijlika’ makes every panel exciting. Especially, using the power of ‘Gurughantal’ to make the enemy’s body sticky was a new and interesting idea. The methods of Gojo’s battle are quite crude and brute (raw and brutal), showing the justice of the forest. This war is not just between Gojo and demons, but is also a race against time to save the city from complete destruction.

The great sacrifice of Mankont: the sacrifice of the daughter on the altar of duty

The story reaches its climax when the Mankonda Emperor Mankont realizes that his daughter, Mankara, is causing the destruction of all humanity by going blind in retaliation. Mankara uses all her strength to kill Gojo and is not ready to listen to anyone. Here, the relationship between Gojo and Mankont becomes the most emotional part of this comic.

Mankont understands that it is now almost impossible to stop Mankara and that innocent people will continue to bleed if she survives. In a very sad and hair-raising scene, Mankont ends his daughter Mankara with his own hands. A father killing his own child, that too to protect duty and honor, brings tears to the reader’s eyes. This renunciation of Mankont puts him among the greatest and saddest characters in the comics world.

Artistic direction of Rahul Deshpande: The golden artwork of the nineties

The success of “Gojo and Monkont” also owes a lot to its artistry. The way Rahul Deshpande has portrayed the Mankonda Empire and the strange creatures there goes beyond imagination. The designs of the creatures are very impressive as half-human and half-insect (Insectoids). The detail shown in the sinking scenes of the earth was quite advanced for that time. The choice of colors—deep green, brown, and red—brings the atmosphere of the forest and mystery fully alive. Every action scene has a sense of movement, which drags the reader into the story. It is this artwork that makes Gojo’s spiritual powers feel like a reality, not just imagination.

Conclusion: Why should ‘Gojo and Monkont’ still be read today?

At the end of the review, it becomes clear that “Gojo and Monkont” is not just a superhero comic, but a deep story of conflict in relationships and the rigor of duty. It teaches us that ‘sacrifice’ does not just mean erasing oneself, but sometimes losing one’s dearest. The sacrifice of Mankont and the bravery of Gojo make this story memorable.

If you are fond of Raj Comics and are not yet familiar with the character of Gojo, then this comic can prove to be a great start for you. This story shows that comics are not limited to children’s entertainment, but are also a strong medium to portray deep human emotions. This story of Gojo is as effective today as it was three decades ago.

and Mankont’s ultimate sacrifice create an emotional and thrilling story brought alive by Rahul Deshpande’s brilliant artwork. Gojo Aur Monkont Raj Comics review – a superhero adventure where Gojo’s seven powers Mankara’s vengeful plot
