Raj Comics’ Bhediya series has seen the arrival of many unique, dangerous, and quirky villains, but the character ‘Elfanto’, created by Dheeraj Verma, is extremely different. The ‘elephant-human’ characters commonly seen in comics are usually the result of failed genetic experiments by scientific laboratories or alien creatures from outer space. But the origin of Elfanto (Bio-Origin) is based entirely on Indian Yogavidya, Tantric Siddhis, a sage’s boon, and mysterious rejuvenation.

Elfanto’s Early Life (Original Form as a Wild Elephant)

Before his extraordinary transformation, Elfanto was a giant, extremely powerful Asian Gajraj (elephant) living in the vast and dense forests of Assam, northeastern India. He was as mute as other wild animals, but due to his immense physical strength, he had a different status in the forest.

The tribals of the ‘Bhogu clan’ (Bhogu Tribe) living near the forests of Assam feared him, considering him a powerful creature. Elfanto came to the main gate of the Bhogu clan every day, and the clan members offered him plenty of food (fruits, roots, and crops) for their safety and peace. As long as he got food, he remained calm, and after eating, he returned to the forest.

Life-Changing Event: Saving the Sage (The Turning Point: Rescuing the Saint)

The biggest turning point in Elfanto’s life came when, while roaming through the dense forests of Assam, he met Sadhu Maharaj, a Siddha Sadhu. Sadhu Maharaj was crying out for help while hanging from a branch of a tree growing on the edge of a deep ravine in the forest.

Just then, Gajraj (the future Elfanto) reached there. He was a silent animal, but he possessed compassion and the ability to understand the situation immediately. He sat down at the edge of the ravine and lowered his long trunk into it. Sadhu Maharaj grabbed the trunk without delay, and Gajraj pulled him out safely with his immense strength.

Divine Blessing and Rejuvenation (Divine Boon and Bio-Transformation)

After saving his life, Sadhu Maharaj took Gajraj to his ashram. He was the head of a large ashram and possessed immense penance and divine Yogasiddhis. Sadhu Maharaj fed Gajraj a hearty meal and was deeply pleased with his selfless act.

First boon (human speech): Sadhu Maharaj told Gajraj, “You have made me indebted by saving my life, and I want to give you something in return.” When Gajraj responded with his trumpet, the sage realized that he was an animal and could not express his feelings. Sadhu Maharaj chanted special mantras, tied a sacred cloth around Gajraj’s neck, and granted him the ability to speak like a human through his Yogavidya and Tapobal. Now he could speak clearly like a human.

Second boon (half-human form): As soon as he gained the ability to speak, Gajraj thanked Sadhu Maharaj, but also expressed his wish. He said that his greatest desire was to become a human being. Hearing this, Sadhu Maharaj became worried because, according to the laws of nature, it was impossible to turn an animal into a complete human. However, since he had given his word, he found a middle path.

Amavasya Ritual: Sadhu Maharaj made Gajraj sit in front of him on the night of Amavasya and sprinkled holy water on him while chanting Tantric mantras. By morning, Gajraj’s form had changed. Under the influence of Yogavidya, his elephant body transformed into a giant half-human, half-elephant (Humanoid Elephant). Sadhu Maharaj gave him the boon that he could change into his original elephant form whenever he wished and assume his semi-human form whenever he wanted. After this transformation, he was named ‘Elfanto’ (Elphanto).

Elfanto’s Physical and Biological Abilities

1. Unlimited Physical Strength: He can stand on two legs and uproot huge trees as well as shatter massive rocks.

2. Impenetrable Skin: Elfanto’s skin is so thick and hard that it is unaffected by bullets fired from ordinary guns and rifles.

3. Shapeshifting: He can easily hide within a herd of elephants by taking the form of an ordinary elephant whenever he wants.

4. Deadly Tail and Trunk Strike: He also has a powerful tail in his semi-human form, allowing him to grab enemies and slam them to the ground.

5. Human Intelligence and the Ability to Speak: He can not only speak clearly, but is also intelligent enough to understand diplomacy, conspiracies, and the drug trade.

World of Crime and Decline

After the death of Sadhu Maharaj, Elfanto went out of control and started considering himself a god in the forests of Assam. When the Bhogu clan forgot to offer food to Elfanto while celebrating the survival of the wolf god, he wreaked havoc throughout the clan and forced the tribespeople to worship him as their new god by capturing the clan chief.

He then met international drug traffickers named ‘Boss’ and ‘Robby’. Elfanto himself had become addicted to the opium (Green Gold) of the Jholi Valley. The smugglers took advantage of his addiction and recruited him. He captured police outposts and played a major role in a conspiracy to make the innocent wolves of the forest addicted to drugs by mixing the juice of intoxicating leaves into their food.

End: Final Bout with Doga

In the comic Kaun Bada Jallad, Elfanto once again appears actively involved in the cultivation and smuggling of drug plants in the forests. This time, he encounters Mumbai’s ruthless anti-hero, Doga. Elfanto attacks Doga with his elephants and tries to crush him with his immense strength.

But when Elfanto tries to pick up and slam Doga, Doga pulls the safety pin from his hand grenade. As soon as Elfanto comes close to him, a massive explosion occurs, blowing his body to pieces. This is how this supernatural and extremely powerful monster meets his end.
