What happens when a promising scientist’s knowledge collides with the compulsion to save his dying sister? Can a person become blind in the fire of revenge by blaming a superhero for his sister’s death? Who was the chemist who turned ordinary chemicals into such dangerous weapons that the patriot ‘Tiranga’ was blown to pieces and the steely ‘Parmanu’ became an effigy of glass and reached the verge of breaking?

This is the story of Rupesh alias ‘Mr. Rasayan’, a tragic, crazy but extremely talented villain of Raj Comics!

Masters in Chemistry to the Path of Crime: Who was the simple Rupesh of Delhi?

Mr. Rasayan’s real name was Rupesh (Rupesh). He was a very talented, thin but very sharp-minded young man living in Delhi. Rupesh did his Masters in Chemistry (Chemistry) (M.Sc.). He earned a Chemistry degree and was an expert in making a variety of unique and rare chemicals.

Rupesh had no big family of his own, except for his younger sister. Rupesh loved his sister very much and could do anything for her happiness. But fate had something else in store. Rupesh’s sister suffered from a serious kidney infection, and both her lungs and kidneys were slowly ceasing to function.

20 days’ respite, the first theft out of compulsion and the fire of vengeance burning against ‘Tiranga’!

Rupesh’s life took a turn when the doctor at Pal Nursing Home (Dr. Husky) gave him one last warning that his sister had only 20 days left. If she was not operated on by 12 o’clock after arranging a large sum of money, his sister would die.

First theft (at Seth Maganlal’s place): Poor and unemployed Rupesh did not have that much money. To save his sister’s life, he chose the path of crime. He created a special chemical in his chemical lab that melted the door of a thick iron safe like wax. He entered Seth Maganlal’s house, made Seth unconscious with a chloroform capsule and stole a bag full of money from the safe.

Arrival of Tiranga: As soon as Rupesh started running away with a bag full of notes, the patriotic superhero ‘Tiranga’ (Tiranga) arrived there. Tiranga caught Rupesh red-handed. Rupesh threw a heavy vase at Tiranga and ran away, leaving behind a capsule of chloroform gas, but in a hurry, he left the bag full of money there.

Theft of university election funds: Rupesh was not going to accept defeat. He made ‘laughing gas’ and ‘weeping gas’ in his lab to steal a sack of coins collected by students at the University Ground of Hindu College. He made everyone laugh and cry like crazy by spraying gas on the crowd and ran away with a sack full of coins.

Sister’s death and blind revenge against Tiranga: Tiranga traced Rupesh’s secret base using clues from chemicals purchased from the shop ‘UPEx Chemicals’ (UPEx Chemicals), arrested him and sent him to Central Jail. When the doctor in jail told Rupesh that his sister had died because the money had not been arranged on time and the operation could not be performed, Rupesh lost his mental balance. Rupesh did not hold himself responsible for his sister’s death, but Tiranga. He screamed behind bars and swore:

“My sister died not because of God’s will, but because of Tiranga! He stopped me and sent my sister to her death. From today onwards, my life will have only one purpose, only and only ‘the death of Tiranga’!”

From buzzing laughing gas to glass-making sprays: the creepy arsenal of ‘Mr. Rasayan’!

After being released (or escaping) from jail, Rupesh completely entered the world of crime and named himself ‘Mr. Rasayan’. He prepared a special suit:

  • Ensemble: Pink and green bodysuit, bald head, face mask and ‘H2SO4’ along with other chemical formulas written on his chest.
  • Chemical belt: He had glass flasks (Flashed Vials) and spherical bottles filled with different chemicals tied around his waist and chest.
  • Main chemical abilities of Mr. Rasayan (Powers & Arsenal):
  • Metal-Melting Chemistry: A chemical that melts iron, steel and safes like wax.
  • Laughing and Weeping Gas (Laughing & Crying Gas): A gas that makes the crowd laugh or cry uncontrollably as it spreads through the air.
  • Asbestos-Melting Acid: An acid that instantly burns firefighters’ or superheroes’ protective suits (Asbestos) to ashes.

Neuro-Paralyzing Liquid: A chemical that stiffens the nerves and numbs the muscles as soon as it comes into contact with the body.

Glass-Transforming Spray (Glass Transformation Spray): His most dangerous discovery, which turned the cellular structure of any human being or object into glass (Glass).

Hydrogen-Sodium Blasting Gun: A special gun that could convert water into sodium and trigger a terrible hydrogen gas explosion underfoot.

Paper-to-Steel Cutter (Paper Blade Reaction): Sprinkling chemicals on ordinary pieces of paper to turn them into sharp iron blades.

Jail break, dangerous deal and ‘Parmanu’ turned into a glass effigy on the streets of Delhi!

Mr. Rasayan was in jail after losing to Tiranga. That’s when he met or struck a deal with Ratan Daga (Ratan Daga). Ratan Daga needed a chemistry expert to kidnap Professor Kamal Kumar.

  • Jail Break: Ratan Daga got Mr. Rasayan out of Central Jail using his influence. In return, Mr. Rasayan stipulated that he would do Daga’s work (kidnapping the professor) only if Daga helped him eliminate Tiranga and Parmanu.
  • Attack on Professor Kamal Kumar: Mr. Rasayan surrounded Professor Kamal Kumar outside the INA Clinic (INA Clinic), melted the road with his gun and trapped the Professor’s feet there.
  • Big clash with Parmanu: Inspector Vinay immediately took the form of ‘Parmanu’ to save the professor. There was a fierce fight on the streets of Delhi between Mr. Rasayan and Parmanu. Mr. Rasayan rolled Parmanu into an iron drum. He threw hot tar chemicals at Parmanu while he was flying in the air.

When Parmanu attacked him, Mr. Rasayan took out his most dangerous gun and sprayed Parmanu with ‘glass-converting chemicals’. Within a few moments, the entire steely body and suit of the superhero Parmanu started turning into glass! Parmanu became a living ‘glass statue’, which could have been shattered by the slightest impact.

Destruction of pride: When the empire of ‘Mr. Rasayan’ melted in the heat of nuclear energy

In his pride of victory, Mr. Rasayan started teasing Professor Kamal Kumar, saying, “Look, your favorite superhero has become a ‘glass effigy’.” But he could not understand the willpower of Parmanu and the inner mechanism of his suit.

  • Nuclear counterattack: Parmanu activated the nuclear energy (Atomic Energy) contained within his body. The glass cover outside was shattered by the intense heat of his body. Parmanu came out of the glass shell.
  • Destruction of chemical gun: Parmanu hit Mr. Rasayan’s gun and the chemical bottles tied to his chest directly. The sodium and acid bottles collided with each other and burst, due to which Mr. Rasayan himself was hit by his chemicals.
  • Return to jail: Parmanu caught Mr. Rasayan in a half-dead condition and handed him over to the police.

Villain or victim of fate? The bitter truth of the story of ‘Mr. Rasayan’

‘Mr. Rasayan’ is one of the few villains of Raj Comics who was not a criminal by birth but was struck by poverty, helplessness and circumstances. A failed attempt to save his sister pushed him into the quagmire of crime, and a misunderstanding made him the enemy of a patriotic hero like ‘Tiranga’.

His story shows that when knowledge and science are used only for revenge without justice and right thinking, the result is destruction in the end. Mr. Rasayan’s tragic ending leaves comics lovers with fear as well as deep sympathy for him.
