This is a detailed and emotional review of ‘Sandhi Parva’ (Mahanagayan: Sandhi Parv), the third volume of Raj Comics’ biggest and most epic series of all time, ‘Mahanagayan’. This chapter is not just a story of war, but of reconnecting broken relationships, the emergence of new politics, and a ‘treaty’ that is laying the foundation for the coming great destruction.

This review, adorned with the magical brush of Anupam Sinha and the brilliant vision of Sanjay Gupta, will take you to that point of emotion and action, where every decision gives rise to a new problem.

The dreadful peace after ‘Rakta Parv’

Imagine a world where yesterday’s enemies are becoming friends and yesterday’s own brothers see blood in each other’s eyes. This third volume of Raj Comics’ Mahagatha, ‘Sandhi Parva’ (The Chapter of Alliance), brings us to a point where the battlefield has changed. Now the fight is not just about swords and powers, but about principles, decorum, and the ‘majestic power’ that can make even the greatest hero waver.

The souls of the guards returned in ‘Avataran Parv‘, the blood of their loved ones was shed in ‘Rakta Parv‘, and now in ‘Sandhi Parv’ it is time to settle the accounts. What will happen when Nagraj stands up for the rights of his own wife, Visarpi? What will happen when Dhruv has to choose between his own principles and his family? This is where the journey of Sandhi Parv begins, which shocks the reader mentally and emotionally.

Plot: Freedom from the Zombie transition and the rise of new dimensions

The story begins where the virtuous spirits of the guards are trying to regain control of their ‘Zombie’ bodies. The spirits of Nagraj, Dhruv, Doga, and Shakti have now returned to their mortal bodies, but they are still not completely healed. They continue to be affected by the ‘Tantric infection.’

Meanwhile, a tremendous mental and physical conflict begins between ‘Devraj Purendra’ and ‘Vishank’ (the son of Nagraj). Purendra, who considers himself the protector of the Golden City, fears Vishank’s mental powers. The scene where Purendra falls from the sky and Dhruv tries to save him shows that, for Dhruv, respect for humanity and the deities is greater than his own life.

Birth of ‘Nagaprastha’: A new hope amidst destruction

This part of the review leaves the greatest impact. When the authority of Visarpi and Vishank is taken away from Nagadweep, the foundation of a new empire is laid—‘Nagaprastha.’ This is such an extraordinary and magnificent city, which is not only a wonder of architecture but is also a symbol of Nagraj’s resolve.

Nagraj, along with his friend ‘Takshak,’ builds this city. The kind of architecture that Anupam Sinha has depicted here gives the feeling of an imaginary paradise. But this new city was born from the ashes of sorrow and sacrifice. The face of Visarpi, which reflects both the dignity of a queen and the sorrow of a wife, touches the reader’s heart.

Drona: The toughest test of the Guru-Shishya tradition

The most exciting twist of the story comes when Drona (Bio-Robot) is ‘overridden’ by the Black Powers. Drona, once the guide of these heroes, has now become their worst enemy. The scene where Drona attacks Nagraj and Dhruv with his ‘Divyastras’ is one of the most ‘dynamic’ fight sequences in the history of Indian comics.

This fight is not easy for Nagraj and Dhruv because they do not want to attack their own guru. Drona’s cultivation of ‘weapons’ with his wrist (Astra Farming) and turning the entire forest into a battlefield is the biggest example of his imagination. Here, the reader realizes how dangerous technology can be when it no longer has emotions.

Family rift: Clash between Natasha, Dhruv and Shweta

This part of the comics feels like a dark ‘soap opera’. On one hand, there is a battle to save the universe, while on the other hand, a war is raging within Dhruv’s family. The bitterness and hatred shown in the dialogues between Natasha and Shweta make Dhruv’s character even more helpless.

Natasha saying, “Dhruv’s friendship and love are just a show,” and Shweta’s unwavering trust in her brother bring the story to a very human level (Human Perspective). This part proves that Mahanagayan is not just a battle of powers, but also a saga of broken hearts and shattered relationships.

Those 7 ‘Curiosity’ Factors That Will Make You Read This Comics!

1. Mysterious entry of ‘Nagraj, the Destroyer of Hell’:

Throughout the story, there is mention of a mysterious character who has been called ‘Nagraj, the Destroyer of Hell.’ Who is he? Did he come from another dimension (Dimension)? What is his relationship with our Nagraj? This suspense will keep you engaged till the last page.

2. Drona’s ‘Guru Dakshina’:

When the warrior Yota cuts off his tongue and offers it to Drona as ‘Guru Dakshina,’ that scene shakes the reader to the core. It is a modern and dark interpretation of ancient mythological traditions that will make you think.

3. Vishala and Kaaldoot’s ‘Power Politics’:

The conflict between Vishala’s greed for the throne and Mahatma Kaaldoot’s foresight is very ‘intense’. Vishala’s Medusa-like appearance and the hatred reflected in her eyes make her a memorable villain.

4. Grandeur of ‘Nagaprastha’:

If you are crazy about films like ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ then you will definitely like the portrayal of Nagaprastha. This city floating above the clouds and the atmosphere there are worth seeing.

5. Dhruv’s intelligence and helplessness:

Here, Dhruv is seen in a form where he can defeat machines but is helpless in the face of the growing hatred among his own people. His efforts to decode ‘RAM Memory’ and ‘coding’ are a brilliant combination of science and fantasy.

6. Vishank’s ‘change of heart’:

The way Vishank tears the invitation letter and writes the name of ‘Nagraj’ on it at the end of the story indicates a major change within him. Is he embracing his father’s legacy, or is this the beginning of a new rebellion?

7. That last ‘cliffhanger’ – sacrificial feast:

The story ends with a very frightening warning—‘Bali Parv’. This name itself suggests that, in the next part, the ‘sacrifice’ of a great hero is going to take place.

Reviewer’s in-depth examination

Writing and screenplay:

Hanif Azhar has very intelligently linked so many subplots together. Where action is needed, the story picks up pace, and where emotions are needed, it slows down and expresses them effectively.

Art and illustrations:

The work done by the team of Vinod Kumar, Prem Gunawat, and Amit Kumar under the guidance of Anupam Sinha appears to be of ‘international standard’. Especially the page layouts (Layout), where one frame feels connected to the next, keep the reader engaged throughout the story.

Drawbacks:

Having so many characters sometimes distracts from the main story. Characters like Doga and Shakti have received a little less importance in this part, which may disappoint their fans.

Final Judgment: An ‘Emotional’ Masterpiece!

‘Mahanagayan: Sandhi Parv’ is not just a superhero war, but an ‘epic drama’. It teaches us that victory is not always achieved with weapons; sometimes, even by giving something up, a great victory can be achieved. This story brings us face to face with the bitter truths of justice, loyalty, and ‘love’, which we often ignore.

If you have read the last two parts, then this part will take your curiosity to the next level. And if you are reading Mahanagayan for the first time, then get ready to get lost in a world where every page gives you a new shock.

Caution: The peace of ‘Sandhi Parv’ is just a facade; the real storm is about to arrive in ‘Bali Parv’. Are you ready to see your favorite heroes climb the altar of ‘sacrifice’?

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 (The Most Emotional Chapter of the Saga!)

Special tip for blog readers:

Read the last page of this comics very carefully, where Vishank is cutting the invitation letter with a dagger. That very scene hides the biggest secret of the entire upcoming story.
