Have you ever wondered what would happen if the world’s most powerful protector, at whose command millions of poisonous snakes move, suddenly loses his mental balance? What if his ‘wishful power’ becomes his biggest enemy? This two-episode story of Raj Comics—’Pagal Nagraj‘ and ‘Messiah’—is one of the darkest, emotional, and hair-raising stories in Indian comics history.

‘Pagal Nagraj’ – Fall of a Hero (The Fall of a Hero)

The story starts with a strange villain ‘Bawla’ (Dark Devil). Bawla doesn’t want any big empire; he just wants to end ‘light’. He breaks the city lights because he thinks the lights disturb the human mind. Nagraj goes to stop him, but a small mistake changes everything—Bawla bites Nagraj.

Nagraj’s nightmare starts from here. The mysterious particles of Bawla’s body mix with Nagraj’s blood and take control of his mind. Nagraj starts having ‘hallucinations’. Innocent people start appearing as dangerous monsters to him.

That scary scene: When Nagraj pounces to kill ‘Mr. Ravosla’, an innocent employee of his own office, thinking he is a monster, the reader gets a shock. Bharti keeps screaming, but Nagraj only hears screams. Result? Nagraj is declared ‘mad’. The public, which till yesterday considered him God, is today pelting stones at him, considering him a ‘threat’.

This part ends with a big question—has Nagraj really gone mad or is it someone’s deep conspiracy?

‘Messiah’ – Protector, Destroyer and a New Hope (The Rise of the Fake Savior)

Where ‘Pagal Nagraj’ ends, ‘Messiah’ starts from there. Now there is fear of Nagraj in the city. People are afraid to leave their houses. The police are opening fire to catch him. Only then does a new superhero enter, ‘Messiah’!

This new hero ‘Messiah’, who shows shining armor, tremendous powers, and love for the masses, reaches everywhere Nagraj attacks. He proves Nagraj to be ‘mad’ and ‘dreaded’ and himself becomes the new hero of the public. The public chants— “Long live Messiah! Down with Nagraj!”

But is ‘Messiah’ really an angel? Or is it a preparation to hit the last nail in Nagraj’s coffin?

Conspiracy Exposed: ‘Dream Turner’ Game

The story takes a new turn when VishankChhota Nagaraj (Small Nagraj) Review: Vishank’s Origin, Science, Cloning, and the Future of Nagraj Universe and Bharti become suspicious. Vishank, who has an amazing mind behind his innocence, understands that Nagraj’s ‘madness’ is not natural.

The real villain is none other than Nagraj’s real uncle and biggest enemy, ‘Nagpasha’. He has created a device named ‘Dream Turner’, which is sending scary pictures into Nagraj’s mind through special waves of light (Sky Lights).

‘Messiah’ is actually a remote-controlled robot of Nagpasha. Nagpasha’s plan was straightforward: bring Nagraj down in the public eye, prove him mad, and rule the world by becoming ‘Messiah’ himself.

Those 5 Exciting Reasons (Curiosity Factors) That Will Make You Read Both of These Comics!

1.     Mental and Social Exclusion of the Protagonist (Psychological Trauma)

Often in comics, the villain wants to eliminate the hero, but here Nagpasha does not want to kill him; he wants to ‘defame’ him. Seeing the mental condition of a hero who himself does not know what he is doing shakes the heart.

This story teaches us that ‘character assassination’ can be more painful than destroying the body.

2.     Mysterious Identity of ‘Messiah’

There is suspense throughout the story as to who this ‘Messiah’ is. Is this a new hero? Is this any form of Nagraj? When the true face of Messiah (the robotic form) is finally revealed, the readers are shocked. This suspense will make you turn the pages.

3.     ‘Tech-Smart’ Avatar of Vishank and Sillu

Where Nagraj is helpless despite his powers, his younger son Vishank and his friend Sillu come forward as the real heroes of the story. It’s extremely exciting to see how a 10-year-old child prevents a nuclear holocaust through his computer and intelligence.

This comic shows that strength lies not just in the body, but also in the mind and technology.

4.     Anupam Sinha’s Master Artwork

Art appears in its finest form in both these comics. When Nagraj has an illusion, the distortion shown in the pictures gives a feeling like a horror film.

The design of ‘Messiah’ and its fight sequences are fantastic. Especially the scene where Nagraj fights a robotic Nagraj is worth seeing.

5.     Taunt on Media and Public Opinion

This story seems even more relevant today. It shows how the media can make anyone a ‘villain’ overnight and how the public trusts what others say without thinking.

Bharti’s struggle, where she is stuck between her channel’s reputation and her friend, seems very real.

Climax: Great Destruction and Victory of Truth

The story ends with the threat of an atomic bomb (Nuclear Bomb). Nagpasha is preparing to blow up the city so that the entire blame is put on ‘mad Nagraj’. But this is where Nagraj’s willpower and Vishank’s wisdom come together.

Nagraj, coming out of his illusion, destroys the instrument with his ‘Willpower’. The scene where Nagraj tries to stop the bomb by turning himself into a ‘wishful molecule’ will take your breath away.

Finally, when the public comes to know the truth, they realize their mistake. But will Nagraj be able to forgive them?

Final Decision: Why Read?

It would be incomplete to read ‘Pagal Nagraj’ and ‘Messiah’ separately. It’s a whole journey—from darkness to light, from infamy to respect. This story proves that Nagraj is not just the king of snakes, but he is also one of emotions and strong will.

Our suggestion: If you’re looking for a story that has a great balance of suspense, drama, science fiction, and emotion, add these two comics to your library now.

Will Nagraj be able to regain his lost respect? Will Bharti’s news channel be able to come out of this crisis? Read this great pair of Raj Comics to know!
