Raj Comics gave many heroes and stories to Indian readers. Characters like Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruv, Parmanu, Bhediya, Kobi, and Shakti became famous in every household. But ‘Demolition (Vidhvans)’ wasn’t just a comic; it was an event — an event that changed the world of Raj Comics forever. This was the same story that really marked its ‘crossover’ debut in Indian comics. Just like Marvel’s ‘Infinity War’ or DC’s ‘Crisis’, this story brings its big heroes together and pits them against a catastrophe.

The biggest strength of ‘Demolition (Vidhvans)’ is its creator — Anupam Sinha. When writing a story and drawing the artwork are in the hands of the same person, a special coordination is visible. Anupam Sinha, who is the creator of Dhruv and was about to bring Nagraj back in a new form, had probably taken up the biggest project of his career with ‘Vidhvans’. This comic is not just a fight — it is an old battle of good and evil, a question of order and chaos, and also a deep story about the game of fate. This review of nearly 1600 words is an attempt to delve deeper into every aspect of ‘Vidhvans’.

The fabric of great destruction

The very beginning of the story of ‘Vidhvans’ is different and interesting. It doesn’t start with a big hero like Nagraj or Dhruv. It starts with the dense, mysterious forests of Assam, where two very powerful and wild characters of Raj Comics — Kobi (owner of wolves) and Bhediya (protector of forests) — are continuing their old enmity. Their fight revolves around a woman, Jane. To show strength in appearance, Kobi burns a huge, old tree. This proves to be a big mistake. A mysterious structure hidden under that tree for a hundred years was buried — and now it opens.

The moment this structure opens, a demonic power, Adham, closed for ages, is set free. Adham is not a common enemy; he is the name of anarchy — the form of destruction itself. He is so ancient that no one knows the history of his imprisonment very well.

As soon as Adham is freed, the balance of nature gets disturbed. This effect is felt even thousands of kilometers away — it irritates even an ordinary human being, Sadham, while helping an old woman cross the road in a big city. Sadham is the reverse form of Adham — he is the symbol of ‘system’. He is equally old and powerful, and has lived among humans for centuries in different forms so that he could keep an eye on Adham. Sadham understands that the freedom of Adham means only one thing — destruction.

The plan of Adham is straightforward and dangerous. Instead of directly colliding with Sadham, he plans to destroy the protectors of the earth, i.e., the great heroes. His way is — “I will save the lives of these superheroes. If their lives can be saved, I won’t let that happen!” (Sadham’s statement). And Adham says: “You once defeated me by deceit, Sadham; but this time I will get them killed by their own enemies! You can stop me, but not them!”

This is where the real game of ‘Demolition’ begins.

Adham now uses his power to contact all the big villains of Raj Comics. He makes them stronger than ever and orders them to eliminate their respective hero enemies at the same time.
After this, the story picks up pace like a big Hollywood blockbuster. War breaks out on many fronts simultaneously. Anupam Sinha has woven such a complex story with great skill. He transitions very easily from one war to another. In one moment, the reader sees the explosive orgy of Nagraj’s snake powers, and in the next moment, Dhruv’s sharp mental movements and physical agility. This ‘cut-to-cut’ style is so fast that the reader does not even have time to breathe. This is what makes ‘Demolition’ truly a global-scale comic.

Characterization: Gods and Demons

The backbone of ‘Demolition’ is its two new and powerful characters — Adham and Sadham.

Adham (Chaos): Adham is not an ordinary villain, but a thought — the thought of chaos. He believes that order, i.e., “system,” is the real shackle, and the ultimate truth of creation is only destruction. He is ruthless, strong, and above all, a shrewd strategist. He feels that Sadham had imprisoned him by deceit, so now he has set out to take revenge. He plans to have the heroes killed by their own old enemies. His design — a red-colored, huge, scary, and monstrous body — reflects his temperament perfectly.

Sadham (System): Sadham is the complete opposite form of Adham. He is the symbol of order and arrangement. His blue, calm, and divine form reflects the stability and balance within him. Sadham values humanity, their rules, and civilization. He believes that the heroes of Earth are his greatest ‘shield’ against Adham, so it is his duty to protect them. But this thinking of his sometimes makes him tough. He does not hesitate to make small sacrifices for the greater good.

Portrait of Great Heroes

In this comic, every hero is shown at his peak position. Nagraj appears here in his most powerful form. He fights a physical and mental battle with Sadham, which becomes even more interesting due to a misunderstanding — because Nagraj mistakes him for Adham’s partner.
At the same time, Dhruv is a master of mind and strategy as always. Along with understanding Robbo’s new moves, he is also trying to find out why Rajnagar was suddenly attacked.
‘Demolition’ is not the story of any one hero — in it, every superhero has his own place to shine. Doga, Atomic, Kobi, and Bhediya have all been given their important moments. It shows how urgent each hero’s own role becomes when the danger is so great.
Anupam Sinha has done it very beautifully so that no hero seems less than another — it is a big success for a multi-hero comic.

Art and Portraiture: The Beauty of Destruction

Anupam Sinha’s story in ‘Demolition’ is its soul, and his pictures are its body. This is perhaps the best combination of writing and drawing in Indian comics.
The character design of Adham and Sadham is amazing — Sadham’s calm, divine aura and Adham’s angry, demonic form describe their nature without saying anything.

The portrayal of the heroes is also spectacular — retaining their classic looks, the energy and movement that appear in their action scenes are typical of Sinha. The fight scenes of ‘Demolition’ are not limited to just punches; they reach the cosmic level. The clash of the forces of Sadham and Adham, Nagraj’s snake trap, the explosion of the atom, and Dhruv’s stunt — there are explosions in every panel.
Sinha’s way of holding motion is amazing — Nagraj punches with such impact that you can almost feel it. To handle such a heavy story, it was very important for the paneling to be correct, and Sinha is an expert in this. He shows several battles on the same page, yet the story continues to make sense. On special occasions, he uses large ‘splash pages’ — like the freeing of Adham or showing the true form of Sadham — which gives a cinematic feel to the entire comic.

Finally, Vinod Kumar’s inking further enhances Sinha’s pencil work, making the illustrations look even sharper and crisper. At the same time, Sunil Pandey’s colors are very vibrant for that period. The use of red and blue colors, especially for Adham and Sadham, symbolically gives more depth to their mutual conflict.

Theme and Analysis: The Philosophy of ‘Destruction’

‘Demolition’ is not just an action-filled comic, but there are many deep and thought-provoking questions hidden inside it. Its main idea is — order versus chaos (Order vs. Chaos). Here the question arises whether a strict ‘system’ like Sadham is necessary to run the human world, or whether the ‘chaos’ of Adham is the real truth, where strength decides everything — i.e., “whose stick, his buffalo.”

An important part of the story is based on misunderstanding — especially the conflict between Nagraj and Sadham. Due to lack of communication, both consider each other enemies, while both are right. This theme shows that sometimes even two good people can fight each other if there is a lack of understanding between them.
‘Demolition’ actually also explains that a crossover doesn’t just mean bringing heroes into one frame. A true crossover is created only when there is a reason for each hero’s presence, the danger is so great that no single hero can stop it, and each character gets an equal opportunity to show his shine. In this sense, ‘Demolition’ proves to be a perfect crossover comic.

The Overarching Topics of Demolition (The Broader Themes of Vidhwansh)

The comic touches on many deep things, elevating it above just a fighting story. When an existential crisis occurs on Earth, the center of the story becomes ‘duty’ and ‘sacrifice’.
Every character has to rise above his personal fear and comfort and fight for a bigger cause. For Nagraj, duty is everything — he shows that a true hero is recognized not by his strength, but by his courage to make sacrifices.

Having ancient and almost mythical powers in the story makes it different from the common sci-fi or superhero story. It is made clear here that there are some dangers that cannot be defeated by science or technology alone; for that, old knowledge, morality, and spiritual strength are required. This Indianness gives a special identity to this comic.

‘Demolition’‘s name may point to destruction, but the real message within it is hope. No matter how great the danger, as long as the guardians are present, hope is alive. This story is a battle of light in the face of darkness, and order in the face of chaos. It reminds us that the real heroes are those who persevere to the end, no matter the destruction all around.

Conclusion: An Unforgettable Epic

‘Demolition’ is a milestone in the history of Raj Comics that is difficult to forget. It’s not just a comic, but an experience — the pinnacle of Anupam Sinha’s creativity. In this, both his story and art complement each other perfectly. This is the comic that exposed Indian readers to a multiverse-level struggle for the first time.
This story is not just about the victory of the heroes, but about the ‘Demolition’ that shakes their lives, their city, and their beliefs. It shows that when two cosmic forces collide, both humans and superheroes become pawns in their game.
The depth of the story, the balanced portrayal of each hero, powerful characters like Adham and Sadham, and Anupam Sinha’s unmatched art — all combine to make ‘Demolition’ a must-read comic.
This is the diamond of the golden age of Indian comics, whose shine remains intact even today. This is not just a comic, but a glorious chapter in Indian comics history, which inspired future generations and gave new heights to the universe of Raj Comics.
