The last issue of Raj Comics’ Rajnagar Protector series, Rajnagar Savior (Rajnagar Uddharak), is not just the end of a story, but one of the most emotional, technically strong, and thought-provoking confrontations in Indian comics history. This comic puts a direct question to the reader—can machines ever outweigh the emotions of humans?
Decorated with the powerful writing of Stuti Mishra and the grand and effective portrayal by Hemant Kumar, this comic delivers the final decision on the fate of Rajnagar’s defenders, Super Commando Dhruv and Inspector Steel.

‘Kingman Savior’: Victory of Humanity and End of Machine Terror

Prelude: Beginning of the End
The tension and restlessness that gradually increased over the last four issues of the series—Hibernation, Reboot, Reloaded, and Battlefield—find a concrete, logical, and exciting conclusion in Redeemer. By this time, Rajnagar has completely fallen prey to Hibernation, where machines monitor every breath of common humans. The main objective of this final issue is to free Rajnagar from this mechanical occupation and to bring back the human ‘immortal’ buried within Inspector Steel.

Plot and Background

The story begins with a prologue, where Dhruv and Shweta uncover deep and dangerous secrets involving Professor Hammond from events that occurred a few years ago. This is where the reader is reminded of Robot Dhruv, which Dhruv used in his old campaigns. This part creates the necessary foundation for the story.

In the present day, the story takes a new turn when John William Bates, a representative of the Ministry of Defence, reveals his true identity. He is the son of Colonel Bates, once close to Professor Hammond. John William’s real goal is to achieve the Protoplast program so that he can make himself the most powerful person in the world. With the help of live metal and advanced A.I., he wants to establish an empire where only his laws prevail.

Main Conflict: Pole vs Protoplasta

In this issue, Dhruv gives a wonderful demonstration not only of his physical strength but also of his sharp intelligence and strong willpower.

Double Pole (Robot Dhruv)
The biggest shocking moment of the story comes when two Poles are seen on the battlefield. In reality, with the help of his sister Shweta, Dhruv has connected an old robot to the waves of his brain. Half of Dhruv’s mind controls his real body, while the other half controls the robot. This scene clearly shows the high level of concentration, control, and intelligence that Dhruv has achieved.

Emotional Overload
Dhruv understands that Protoplasta works only on data and logic. Taking advantage of this weakness, he tries to awaken the feelings hidden within Inspector Steel. Dhruv believes that machines may not be alive, but an understanding of emotions can also be created within Artificial Intelligence. He overloads Protoplasta’s program through human sensations such as fear, love, and compassion, causing the entire system to waver.

Inspector Steel’s (Immortal) Internal War
The Rajnagar Protector series is actually a painful story of Inspector Steel’s character—a hero who gradually became a machine by blindly following the law and lost his humanity.

At the climax of the story, when John William gains complete control over Steel’s powers, Steel is confronted by his son Abhi and Salma Khan. A father’s love for his son breaks that rigid machine programming. Tears coming out of Steel’s eyes—which are actually liquid released from the lubrication glands—prove that Amar is still alive somewhere inside him. After this, Steel going into destruction mode and turning his own forces against themselves to save humanity literally gives goosebumps.

Villains: John William and Protoplasta
John William Bates emerges as a classic villain whose thinking and greed are born from the mistakes of the past. Considering himself ‘invincible’ proves to be his biggest mistake. On the other hand, Protoplasta—a kind of primitive machine—gradually takes complete control of John William’s body and turns him into a giant iron monster. Here, the fight is not just about strength; it becomes a battle between human intelligence and emotions versus the arrogance of the machine.

Technical Skills of Chandika (Shweta)
Dhruv’s sister Shweta proves to be the real ‘backbone’ of this entire series. In Redeemer, she fights not just as the warrior Chandika, but also in her lab together with Desmond and Roma Rio to create the dangerous ‘killer program’ that finally ends Protoplasta. Dhruv’s unwavering trust in Shweta becomes one of the most emotional and memorable moments of this issue.

Closing and Conclusion (The Resolution)
The ending of the story feels like a grand Hollywood science-fiction movie. Dhruv forces Protoplasta to return to its ‘default’ body—a bat-human-like form—and at the same time, Shweta completely eradicates that deadly virus by inserting the ‘chip’ at the right time.

John William becoming ‘brain dead’ constitutes the greatest punishment for the crimes he committed. Octopussy (Roma) surrenders to Dhruv to secure the future of her son Abhi. Rajnagar’s ‘hibernation’ ends, and a new, free, and hopeful Rajnagar begins.

Writing and Dialogue Analysis

Through this issue, Stuti Mishra has touched upon those aspects of science-fiction that are rarely seen in Indian comics. ‘Protoplasmic analysis’, ‘brain mapping’, and A.I.-related conflicts give the story a modern and international feel. A deep philosophical thought is reflected in the dialogues, especially Dhruv’s dialogue where he states that his promise to protect his sister was the emotion that inspired Robot Dhruv’s A.I. to activate. This line speaks to the soul of the entire series.

Art and Portraiture

The duo of Hemant Kumar and Jagdish Kumar has really done wonders in this issue. On the cover page, the half-machine and half-human face of Dhruv conveys the essence of the entire Rajnagar Protector series in a single image. The scenes of John William transforming into a giant monster and his collision with Dhruv from emerald numbers 66 to 68 are extremely detailed, powerful, and full of thrills.

On the other hand, the true artistic height is seen in the emotional scenes where Amar (Inspector Steel) hugs his son. The dialogues between Dhruv and Shweta have also been portrayed with such beauty and sensitivity that the reader feels deeply connected to those moments.

Critical Evaluation

Pros:
This issue forms a complete circle by connecting all the exposed threads of the series—from World War II to the present time—extremely neatly. Here, a new form of Dhruv emerges, where he does not remain just a traditional hero with sticks and ropes, but appears as a technically sharp and superior mind. Making human emotions the foundation of the story against the terrifying backdrop of a machine war is the author’s greatest victory, giving depth and emotional weight to this entire technical saga.

Deficiencies:
The technical details in the final part of the story may seem a little complicated to some readers. Additionally, some of the main villains, such as the Octopus Group, appear relatively weak in the end.

Final Decision

Rajnagar Redeemer is not just the finale of a comic, but a new manifesto of victory for Rajnagar’s heroes. This series teaches us that no matter how advanced technology becomes, the love of a father, the trust a brother has in his sister, and the never-say-die will of a warrior are the greatest strengths in the world.

Raj Comics has proved through this series that it is returning strongly to its ‘golden age’. Rajnagar Protector has now become a ‘classic’ series in the Indian comics world, and Savior stands as a great and satisfying finale.
