‘Yoga’ is a very effective and powerful character among the characters of Tulsi Comics. Yoga is not only known for its physical strength, but it also has the secret knowledge and mental powers of yoga that make it different from other superheroes. Today we will talk in depth about this exciting comic named ‘Yoga Ka Intakam’, which is a wonderful blend of revenge, yoga science, and magical powers. This comic is not just an action thriller, but it also shows the message of the victory of good over evil in a very interesting way.

Background of revenge and birth of a great hero

The beginning of the story is quite emotional and full of revenge. Yoga, who is the hero of this series, tells his story to his guru Yogiraj. In flashbacks, we learn that Yoga is not a common warrior, but that behind him lies a deep and painful story. His father, Professor Vikram, was a great scientist who made a unique invention named ‘Neeli Chhatri’. This invention was so powerful that criminals and evil forces could go to any extent to obtain it. Due to this greed, a cruel Tantrik and criminal named ‘Bhayankara’ brutally murdered Yoga’s parents.

It is difficult for any child to bear seeing his parents die before his eyes, and this was the moment that lit the fire of revenge inside Yoga. But instead of fighting only on the basis of strength, Yoga chose the path of rigorous yoga practice, so that he could become mentally strong enough to face dark powers like Bhayankara.

Justice: A unique and dreadful weapon made of bones

One of the most special things about this comic is the weapon of Yoga, which he calls ‘Insaf’. This is not a common mace or sword. The weapon is made from the bones of Yoga’s parents, reminding him of his motive all the time. Its texture is quite scary—at the end of a chain there is a skull with sharp thorns protruding from it. Yoga believes that this weapon will be used only for justice.

The power of this weapon is not only in its attack, but it is also controlled by the mental waves of Yoga. The thrill increases just by hearing this when Yoga says that this weapon is more dangerous than a poisoned rifle bullet. This weapon symbolizes that when law and society fail to provide justice, a son himself stands up as a ‘human’.

Science of subtle body and pinnacle of yoga

The power of yoga is not limited to the body only. In this comic, the author has included an important aspect of yoga philosophy, the ‘Astral Body’. Yoga has proved through his sadhana that he can leave his body in one place and send his subtle body anywhere. This power gives him the ability to become invisible and attack enemies suddenly.

There is a scene in the story where Yoga talks about going hundreds of miles away and attacking through his subtle body. This adds a touch of science fiction and the supernatural to the story. His master blesses him, saying that he is the most powerful warrior of the modern era as he has mastered his mental waves. This aspect makes Yoga a sensible hero, who does not attack without thinking, but uses his intelligence and spiritual strength properly.

Trip to Hong Kong and the mystery of Jolaba Island

In search of his enemy Bhayankara, Yoga comes out of India and reaches the international stage. The story takes him to Hong Kong, from where he has to go to Jolaba Island. Jolaba Island is considered a special place for Chinese magicians, where it is almost impossible for common people to reach.

Here comes a new twist in the story when Yoga meets a guide named Teenie and a local bully named Don Gumba. The action scene taking place in a hotel in Hong Kong has been shown in a very spectacular manner. Here Yoga is not only faced with goons, but also with the mysterious atmosphere that Bhayankara has created around him. This mission of an Indian yogi in a foreign place becomes a new and exciting experience for the readers.

Soul of Dhurandhara Guru and the Black Kingdom of Bhayankara

On reaching Jolaba Island, Yoga understands how deep the fear of Bhayankara is. There he meets the soul of Dhurandhara Guru. Dhurandhara Guru was once Bhayankara’s guru, but Bhayankara killed him out of his greed and imprisoned his soul and mind. This part adds a deep mystery to the story. Bhayankara not only killed Yoga’s parents, but he also betrayed his guru.

Dhurandhara Guru’s spirit tells Yoga that Bhayankara has made a deserted island his black kingdom, which he calls ‘Bhayankara’s Lanka’. He wants to rule the whole world and is dreaming of establishing himself like a god. Now this confrontation is not limited to just personal revenge, but becomes a mission to save all humanity from a dangerous magician.

Martial Arts Competition and Mental Warfare

To reach Bhayankara, Yoga has to participate in a ‘freestyle fighting’ competition. This competition is not just a test of strength, but magic and cunning also play a big role here. Yoga encounters a wrestler named ‘Ragi’, who creates three forms using magical power.

Here the author has very intelligently shown the subtle body power of Yoga. Yoga also creates three forms through his subtle body and defeats Ragi in his own game. This fight scene is one of the most spectacular parts of the comic, where a tremendous clash of technology, magic, and yoga is seen. After this victory, Yoga gets an official call to visit the island of Bhayankara, which is a big step towards his ultimate goal.

Final Confrontation: Fire, Snake, and Destructive Powers

The biggest twist of the story comes in Bhayankara’s palace. Here it becomes clear that Bhayankara is not a small criminal, but the master of illusory powers. He can greatly enlarge his size, breathe fire from his mouth, and even take the form of a giant dragon. The fight between Yoga and Bhayankara is very dangerous.

When Bhayankara becomes a python and captures Yoga, then Yoga uses his ‘Insaf’ weapon. But the real turning point comes when Yoga realizes that the real source of Bhayankara’s strength is the Martaban, in which Dhurandhara Guru’s mind and willpower are captured. Yoga, with his wisdom, breaks the jar, which frees the soul of Dhurandhara Guru and weakens Bhayankara’s strength. This scene shows that no matter how powerful evil is, its end lies in its own mistakes and deception.

End of evil and restoration of justice

In the last moments of the fight, Yoga attacks Bhayankara while remembering the fire of his parents’ funeral pyre. Bhayankara, who used to threaten to burn others with his ‘Yogagni’, finally gets trapped in the same fire. His palace and the entire Black Empire burn to the ground.

The end of Bhayankara not only fulfills Yoga’s revenge, but also gives peace to the soul of Dhurandhara Guru. At the end of the comic, Dhurandhara Guru’s soul is freed and goes to heaven, and Yoga emerges as the winner. This ending gives satisfaction to the readers, where it feels that justice has finally been done. The character of Yoga comes across as a strong-willed, brave, and righteous hero throughout the story.

Portraiture and dialogue: an impressive presentation

The discussion of this comic is incomplete without its artwork. According to the nineties style, the use of colors and the physiques of the characters have been shown very effectively. The depiction of Yoga’s muscles and the look of revenge on his face keep readers connected to the story.

In the action scenes, words like ‘Tadak’, ‘Kadak’, and ‘Dushoom’ were the special identity of comics of that time, and they have been used well here too. The dialogues are simple but effective. Yoga’s conversations about the ‘Insaf’ weapon and Bhayankara’s arrogant style maintain the tension of the story. The pace of the story remains steady on every page, due to which the reader does not get bored anywhere.

Conclusion: Why read ‘Yoga Ka Intakam’?

Overall, ‘Yoga Ka Intakam’ is not just an ordinary comic, but it is a shining example of Indian bravery and spiritual strength. It teaches that real strength lies not just in the body, but in the mind. The character of Yoga feels equally relevant to today’s readers, as it shows the balance of science and spirituality.

Tulsi Comics has given a superhero through this story who is connected to his roots. If you want to reminisce or read a great action and adventure story, then this comic must be in your collection. It is a story of revenge that keeps you engaged from beginning to end and concludes with a deep sense of peace. ‘Yoga Ka Intakam’ is an important comic to read in order to experience the golden era of Indian comics.
