Super Commando Dhruva is the most famous superhero of Raj Comics, and since this character has been roaming the comic pages for the last 30 years, it’s understandable that he must have made some friends during this time. Although most villains tremble before the mind of Super Commando Dhruva, he is a loyal friend and when danger arises, he stands in front of his friends and perhaps that’s why he has quite a few friends.
Super Commando Dhruva has seen many friends in his time, and his best friends are somewhat renowned because they’ve made leaps with Raj Comics. Whether they are friends who help in the daily tasks of Super Commando Dhruva, or those who stand by him for better or worse, Super Commando Dhruva may sometimes feel troubled, but these friends always support him. Whether it’s his brother, lover, or someone else in the world.
Jingaalu
Jingaalu is a Himalayan yogi and also a friend of the super commando Dhruv. Jingaalu first appeared in the ‘Barf Ki Chita’ comic book in front of readers. Actually, when Dhruv is sent to the Himalayas for the investigation of a meteorite, he doesn’t even have a slight idea that there is a dreadful and impure conspiracy behind it. Enemy spies were making a weapon to destroy India. Jingaalu and Dhruv initially faced each other as enemies, but when Dhruv saved Jingaalu‘s life from the mysterious enemy, he became his friend and together they eliminated the enemies. Jingaalu is a tall and broad yogi, and he is also going to be the future king of his clan because his father is the chief of the Yogi clan. Initially, Jingaalu had nothing but physical strength, but in the comic ‘Kirigi Ka Kahar’, his guru gave him the power to fly to save Dhruv’s life, and that power is still with him. Jingaalu has helped Dhruv several times or let’s say they have faced dangers together. Jingaalu played an important role in the Nagayana series.
Dhananjay
Dhananjay is a resident of Swarnanagari. The residents of Swarnanagari have been living safely underwater for thousands of years away from the sight of humans. However, initially, they used to live with humans and fight against evil alongside them. But they didn’t trust humans much because they believed that humans have a thirst for power and they would obtain the knowledge of Swarnanagari to use it in wars. That’s why they used to live hidden from humans. But Grand Master Robo conducted an experiment underwater, which caught Swarnanagari’s attention. Along with that, Dhananjay clashed with Dhruv, who was going to bring the escaped demon Agnimukh, and ended up reaching Swarnanagari with him.
Dhananjay has a golden noose which he keeps tied around his waist. He can create dimensional gates to travel anywhere and reach there in just a few seconds. Additionally, an invisible armor protects him.
Kirgi
Kirgi is an immortal warrior whose age is thousands of years. The gods entrusted him with the protection of the red diamond located in the Kalimpamath, situated in the Eastern Himalayas, which was guarded by demons. And when after thousands of years, the last descendant of the demons, Chandakal, attempted to steal it, Kirgi pursued him. He ended up encountering Dhruv unknowingly in Rajnagar, where he faced defeat against Dhruv for the first time. Soon, Kirgi realized that Dhruv, like him, is also a champion of righteousness, so they both became friends. Although Kirgi and Dhruv haven’t appeared much in the comics, Kirgi is included in Dhruv’s list of friends.
Samri
Samri is a yaksha who resides in Jwalalok, and he is also the guardian of the flame that the gods entrusted to the yakshas. That’s why he is called Samri of the Flame. However, when Chandakal, through his mental waves, liberates himself from the imprisonment of Swarnanagari and seizes control of Samri’s mind, Princess Sabrina of Jwalalok is sent to summon Dhruv to save him. A fierce battle ensues between Samri and Dhruv, where Dhruv fights alone against Samri, Chandakal, and the Mahamanav. In the end, Samri helps Dhruv. Samri has come to Dhruv’s aid several times. Once in the comic “Who is the Killer?” he and Dhruv fight against Doctor Virus.
Vanputra
Vanputra is the guardian of the jungle and the enemy of those who cut down trees. Trees obey his every command, and upon his signal, they grow larger and can sometimes ensnare his enemies in their traps, leading to their demise. Dhruv’s encounter or clash with Vanputra happened in the comic “Vinash Ke Vriksh“. All trees heed Vanputra’s words, and this is his greatest power. Besides the Tree of Destruction, Dhruv faces him once again, but this time he gets trapped in Vaman’s net. In the comic “Satan”, Vanputra and Dhruv confront the enemy together.
Black Cat
Black Cat, also known as Richa, is Dhruv’s friend or rather his lover, but it’s one-sided because Dhruv loves Natasha. Black Cat is the daughter of computer programmer Raman, who was killed by Grand Master Robo deceitfully to obtain a program, but Raman didn’t die at that time; he revealed the truth to his daughter Richa, also known as Black Cat, before his death. In the comic where Black Cat seeks revenge against Robo, we learned this. However, in Dhruv’s Hunters comics, many other secrets were revealed. Speaking of power, Black Cat, or Richa, is a skilled gymnast and she uses her art to deal with criminals. Additionally, her costume has a magnetic tail like a cat’s, and she has an army of cats to assist her, which she sometimes uses in dangerous ways. She has supported Dhruv on several occasions.
Lori
Lori is a knower of occult practices, mantras, and mental powers. Dhruv first met Lori in the Vampire comics when Dhruv went to Pokhran for a case, and there he encountered a vampire, and Lori helped him at that time. Dhruv learned about her background then. Lori’s ancestors were kings, and one of them married an English woman. When her ancestors fought with the British, they lost, and Lori’s family was imprisoned. Her pregnant English grandmother was sent back to England. Later, her father was born, and one day he told her about the castle where her ancestors used to rule. She went there as a tourist and discovered a secret room where she found ancient and rare books on occultism, ghosts, and supernatural powers. She stayed there and studied those books alone for two years, practicing what she learned, which developed various mental powers within her. Lori has helped Dhruv several times, whether it’s fighting Chandakal in the “Who is the Killer?” comic or battling Narki and Patki in the “Nishachar” comic. It was because of Lori that Dhruv and Doga’s lives were saved; otherwise, they would have become slaves of Narki and Patki and would have destroyed each other.
Barf Manav, also known as Dr. Vargis
Dr. Vargis used to work with Dr. Virus, but due to Dr. Virus’s excessive ambition, he parted ways with him. However, he always kept an eye on Dr. Vargis. When he learned that Dr. Vargis had created the Beta Virus, which could instantly turn any plant, tree, or animal into ice, he stole it. Alongside, he unleashed the Beta Virus on Dr. Vargis, burying him under the ice before fleeing. However, Dr. Vargis didn’t die because of the Beta Virus; instead, he transformed into a being made of ice. He encountered Dhruv once, where with Dhruv’s help, he rescued his family from the clutches of Dr. Virus. Known as the Ice Man, his powers are related to ice, as he himself is made of ice. Ice Man has helped Dhruv several times, once in “Hatyara Kaun” against Dr. Virus’s viruses, and another time in “Shitaan” against the Ice Men from another planet.
Natasha
Natasha is the queen of the criminal world, the daughter of Grand Master Robo, and once the commander of his army, known to all as Commander Natasha. When she saw Chandika, also known as Shweta, putting her life at stake to save others, she realized the value of others’ lives and decided to leave the world of crime and enter Dhruv’s world. Perhaps another reason for this was her growing affection for Dhruv. Even when she returned to the world of crime, her love for Dhruv remained intact. She even forbade her men from harming Dhruv or his family, displaying her infatuation for Dhruv. Seeing Natasha’s obsession with Dhruv, Robo had to intervene and tried to manipulate Dhruv into becoming a criminal to bring him into Natasha’s world. However, certain incidents led Robo himself to advise Natasha to leave the world of crime. These events are depicted in “Dhruv Hatyara” and “Shan Shah” comics.
Chandika
Dhruv has many friends, some outside and some within his family, including his sister Shweta. However, she appears before Dhruv disguised as Chandika because she knows that if Dhruv finds out that Chandika is actually Shweta, he may refuse her help. Shweta registers her first presence in the havoc of Swarg by assuming the form of Chandika. Unlike Dhruv, she doesn’t possess any superpowers, but she is highly skilled and proficient in technology. She has created various gadgets, which even Dhruv uses against their enemies. Chandika relies on her physical agility and intelligence to fight against enemies. The only person who knows her secret is Dhruv’s beloved, Natasha.
