‘Abheda Series’ was a huge and ambitious effort by King Comics Publications. The first comic of this series, ‘Conspiracy’, written by Najra Rawan and illustrated by Dilip Choubey, lays the foundation of the entire story. This comic, edited by Vivek Mohan, takes readers into a fantasy world which, while full of imagination, is also quite interesting.

Plot Expansion and World-Building

The story begins with a vast continent named Ocea, divided into hundreds of small and big islands. The author has worked hard to create this world and has given every island its own identity. Every island has its own laws, its own system, and its own ruler.

The most powerful and developed island among all these is — Bharkhanda.

Bharkhanda is not only identified with its wealth and strength, but also with its strange and extremely cruel laws. Here, outside thieves and robbers cannot be arrested directly, but if they are caught, they are given such dreadful punishments that even the soul trembles. ‘Torture chambers filled with scorpions, rats, hot water, and poisonous insects’ clearly show the scary truth of this island.

Political Turmoil and Conspiracy

The real focus of the story is on the internal politics of Bharkhanda. The king here, Naresh Bharkhandia, is shown to be a weak and mentally challenged person, who was made king just because he belonged to the royal family. The real power is not in his hands, but in the tricks going on behind the scenes.

Clever and greedy people like Prime Minister Balanoch and Chief Minister Markhod want to capture power completely. On the other hand, seeing the prosperity of Bharkhanda, the kings of nearby islands like Batapur, Mangolpuri, and Sultanpur also look at it with greedy eyes.

Due to this greed, King Shootamar of Batapur attacks Bharkhanda with his army. It is from here that tremendous action and suspense enter the story.

Professor Aluja: Protector of Bharkhanda

When there is a big threat to Bharkhanda, Professor Aluja’s name comes up. Professor Aluja and his mysterious laboratory ‘Bhopra’ are the real safety shield of this island. The ancestors of the Aluja family have served the royal family for generations.

On the basis of modern technology and peculiar machines—such as the machine that makes enemies unconscious by releasing rats and smoke—they give a befitting reply to enemies.

This is where the real ‘conspiracy’ is born. Prime Minister Balanoch understands that as long as Professor Aluja and his lab are present, it is impossible to capture Bharkhanda. With this thinking in mind, he conspires to remove Aluja from the way by joining hands with external enemies.

Super Hero Market: A Unique Idea

The funniest and cheekiest part of this comic is the concept of the ‘Superhero Market’. Here, the author has taken a dig at superhero culture in a very sarcastic manner.

Through ads like ‘Superhero the Hatti’ and ‘Superhero Service Station’, it is shown that superheroes can also be bought and sold like any other item.

Be it discount heroes like Mahabali Aazhiram and Udan Chhu—with whom matches are available for free—or hired characters like Miss Agile, Gambola, and Gulugulu—everything is available in the market.

Balanoch and the rebel king use these hired superheroes to destroy Professor Aluja’s lab. This whole idea makes a deep and funny dig at the morality of heroes.

Mysterious Young Man and the ‘Indistinguishable’

A parallel stream of the story is connected to a mysterious young man with extremely terrible, rough, and thorny hands. He wrestles for money in a club and defeats a giant sumo fighter with his tremendous strength.

He takes just 100 bucks to get his sick hands treated.

A doctor tells him that he can only be treated by Professor Aluja, who is in the ‘Bhopra’ lab located in the forest. Unknowingly, this young man becomes part of the same conspiracy, where already hired superheroes are about to attack the lab.

Art and Portraiture

Dilip Choubey’s artwork perfectly reflects the classic comic style of the 90s. The body structure of the characters is strong, muscular, and impressive. Professor Aluja’s lab and his safety equipment—such as the robotic mantis, itchy gas, and laser gun—have been shown quite creatively.

The use of colors is bright, which makes the fantasy atmosphere of the story even more lively. Especially the scene where the young man breaks the lab doors with his strength has become quite powerful.

Analysis of Main Characters

Naresh Bharkhandia: A weak king who depends on others for every decision.
Balanoch: A classic villain who can go to any extent for power. His moves speed up the story.
Professor Aluja: An honest and loyal scientist who protects the country with his intelligence and technology.
The Mysterious Young Man: The greatest charm of the story, whose real identity remains hidden till the end. The mystery of his hands and his immense strength maintain the curiosity of readers.
Abheda: At the end of the comic, there is an entry of the superhero ‘Abheda’ on the cover page, who stands like a wall that seems impossible to break.

Review Findings

‘Conspiracy’ is not just an ordinary superhero comic, but the beginning of a big and grand epic. In it, the filth of politics, the miracle of science, and the struggle of a poor young man go together.

Positive Side:
The pace of the story is very fast, and one does not feel bored anywhere. A new and funny idea like the ‘Superhero Market’ brings freshness to the story. The balance of mystery and suspense remains until the end, keeping the reader hooked. The dialogues, while simple, are effective, bringing the characters and situations to life and turning the entire story into a memorable experience.

Downside:
In some places, the number of characters becomes so high that it may be a little difficult for new readers to remember them.

The story ends on a very large cliffhanger, which forces readers to read the next comic ‘Abheda’.

Last Word

This offering from King Comics is no less than a treasure for Hindi comics lovers. If you like classic superhero stories along with political tricks and conspiracies, then ‘Conspiracy’ is something you will definitely like.

This comic teaches us that real strength lies not just in muscles, but in the proper use of the brain and technology.

The question standing at the end of the story—will the young man be able to get rid of his illness? Will Professor Aluja be able to save Bharkhanda? And the biggest question, who is this ‘Indistinguishable,’ whose wall no one can penetrate?—all these answers are hidden in the next episode.
