Often, whenever we see a superhero beating up a villain in comics, it brings us joy. And if the villain is a tough opponent, the fun doubles because defeating a powerful enemy requires the hero to put in even more effort and use their intellect. However, when this scenario repeats too frequently, readers start feeling deceived, finding comics boring and tasteless. The author also realized this soon enough and did something that we might be familiar with in movies but was happening for the first time in Indian comics – pitting two superheroes against each other.
Although it’s challenging to say when the first fight between superheroes occurred, it became a thrilling experience for readers when Pralay Comics introduced their edition. It filled every reader with excitement, and they eagerly awaited this comic. Today, we are going to share some information about such comics where superheroes face off against each other.
Doga-Shakti
When Raj Comics introduced a female superhero for the first time and named her Shakti, they did not release a solo comic for her initially. Perhaps there was uncertainty about whether readers would accept it or not. Therefore, keeping caution in mind, they introduced Shakti for the first time in the Doga-Shakti comics. In this comic, her story of transforming into Shakti through a pact with Chanda is revealed. The first confrontation with Doga happens within moments, where Shakti effortlessly forces Doga to kneel. This may be attributed to the divine power of Goddess Kali depicted within Shakti. The next comic featuring Shakti was Dhruv-Shakti, where Dhruv and Shakti openly engage in a battle, and Dhruv, using his intellect, emerges victorious over Shakti.
Ladake
In the Ladake Comics, the guardian warrior of humanity, Yoddha, finds himself entangled in a deep conspiracy and clashes with the jungle protector, Bhediya. However, all of this happens due to a misunderstanding, and behind it all is Tanja, known as the Animal King.
Yoddha, lured by Tanja’s manipulations, captures Bhediya from the jungles of Assam and imprisons him. However, Bhediya not only manages to break free but also confronts Yoddha, wielding the destructive mace of Pralay and engaging in a fierce battle for the first time. The author ensures that neither of them appears weaker in the confrontation, both possessing extraordinary powers. It marks the clash of two formidable forces, each holding incredible abilities.
Jambu-Tausi-Angara
If we look at it, it was not a clash between two, but between three superheroes—or you could say, a one-versus-two battle. This was the epic confrontation between Jambu, Angara, and Tausi. Believe me, the battle among these three was truly intense. Ved Prakash, a master in novel writing, utilized his art skillfully. He crafted a compelling comic where Angara, with his destructive power, sought to destroy the island of Tausi, showing no mercy to animals and humans alike. Amidst this chaos, his love for Banti was the only softer side he displayed. This combination created a captivating comic that was published in three parts. It proved to be a gem, and at the time of its release, it secured a spot in the best-seller list. This success indicated the eagerness of readers to witness their superheroes engage in combat, and Tulsi Comics lived up to those expectations.
Pralay
During the destruction of Rajnagar, there was an expectation among comic enthusiasts that there would be a showdown between Nagraj and Dhruv. However, that didn’t happen immediately. Soon after, another comic titled “Pralay” was released. In this comic, not only did a battle unfold between Nagraj and Dhruv, but Dhruv also had to face the skilled warriors of Nagdweep. Although the confrontation between Nagraj and Dhruv was resolved in a relatively short time, the fighting style was not as intense as that of other superheroes. Perhaps, this is why there is a deep friendship between Nagraj and Dhruv, unlike other superheroes who lack such connections. Therefore, despite the dreams of readers about a clash between two heroes in “Pralay” not unfolding as expected, the comic did not disappoint. The strong storyline and accurate illustrations provided readers with excellent entertainment.
Takkar
As the name suggests, “Takkar” is a face-off between two superhero Yoddha and Parmanu. Similar to how in Ladake Comics, Yoddha clashed with Bhediya upon the influence of the Animal King Tanja, a similar confrontation is about to happen again. This time, Yoddha not only engages in a physical battle with Parmanu but also delves into mental powers. In this showdown, Yoddha not only confronts Parmanu with his words but also challenges the mental strength of Parmanu. Unlike before, Yoddha faces not just anyone, but an old adversary of Parmanu who had once compelled Parmanu to commit suicide using his powers. Anyway, we are talking about the clash between Yoddha and Parmanu in “Takkar”. The comic lives up to its name, presenting a magnificent fight between the two superheroes. What makes it special is Yoddha’s pure and entertaining habit of addressing his enemies as ‘Aap’ (a respectful form of ‘you’), adding a humorous touch to the intense battle.

Kaun Bada Jallad
As the title suggests, ‘Kaun Bada Jallad,’ neither Bhediya nor Doga are lacking in brutality. Now, this battle will decide who truly is the biggest executioner. This was the premise of the ‘Kaun Bada Jallad’ comics. When this alert comic was featured in the Doga series, readers quickly realized that they were in for some gripping comics in the near future. Those who have read Doga’s comics and are fans of his, as well as those who are fans of Bhediya, know well that when it comes to cruelty and brutality, both Doga and Bhediya surpass other superheroes. If these two clash, it will indeed be a thunderous event.
‘Kaun Bada Jallad’ comics brought this to light, and when it was printed in Doga comics, readers were quick to understand that they were in for some compelling stories. Anyone who is a fan of both Doga and Bhediya knows that in matters of brutality and cruelty, they outshine other superheroes. If the two were to clash, it would be a spectacle, and ‘Who is the Biggest Executioner’ comics successfully portrayed this. The unique aspect of this comic was that both Doga and Bhediya were not slaves to any mental power; they were fully conscious. Although Bhediya was momentarily under a misconception, Kobi was fully aware. Kobi’s favorite hobby was tormenting and annoying people, and if Doga, who is skilled in that area, is in front of him, what more can one say? ‘Kaun Bada Jallad’ comics, in true essence, showcased a powerful and intense battle between two superheroes, or you could say, among three superheroes.
Soorma
The battle between Nagaraj and Parmanu promised to determine who was the mightier warrior, as indicated by the tagline of ‘Suryama Comics.’ However, reality did not quite live up to the expectations that readers had. Although there was a brief skirmish between Nagaraj and Parmanu, as soon as the fight concluded, it left the readers disappointed.
The initiation of Suryama Comics was shrouded in confusion. When Nagaraj first fought against enemies sent by Dr. Virus and Surgeon, who claimed that Nagaraj was behind it, the story took a convoluted turn. Similarly, when Parmanu encountered a snake in Professor’s laboratory, he believed Nagaraj was responsible. As soon as the small battle between Nagaraj and Parmanu concluded, readers were left disillusioned.
Suryama Comics began with a tangled narrative, and it seemed like the storyline was contrived to make Nagaraj and Parmanu clash deliberately. When Nagaraj fought against enemies sent by Dr. Virus and Surgeon, who falsely claimed that Nagaraj was behind it, and when Parmanu encountered a snake in Professor’s laboratory, he believed Nagaraj was responsible. Upon closer inspection, it appeared as if the author had fabricated a conflict between the two superheroes.
The conflict between Nagaraj and Parmanu didn’t quite live up to the grandiosity promised by the tagline ‘Who is the Biggest Executioner.’ The clash between these two iconic superheroes felt forced and, in a way, diminished the essence of their characters. It seemed as if the storyline was being shaped solely for the purpose of creating a confrontation between Nagaraj and Parmanu, making the narrative feel somewhat artificial.
The clash between Nagaraj and Parmanu in ‘Who is the Biggest Executioner’ Comics didn’t meet the readers’ expectations. Both Nagaraj and Parmanu, being well-established superheroes, engaging in such a conflict felt imprudent and somewhat staged. Even when the two clash again in ‘Kayamat,’ it appears to be a manufactured scenario.
Do Faulad
There’s one, Doga, who has sculpted his body through intense workouts in the gym, turning it into iron, and then there’s Inspector Steel, whose body itself is made of steel. One abides by the law, while the other breaks the law to uphold justice. When these two collide, the city of Mumbai witnesses rivers of blood flowing, as Steel was sent from Rajnagar to Mumbai for a special mission to protect the arsenal stored in Prardshini. On the other hand, Doga’s motive was to loot those weapons.
The clash between Doga and Inspector Steel is vividly portrayed by the author, showcasing that Doga can never defeat Steel. Hence, the protector of the law is instructed to return to Mumbai legally, and this decision is influenced by Cheeta, who smartly handles the leaders sitting in the Ministry of Defense.
Nishachar
In the comic “Nishachar,” Doga and Dhruv become friends first and then turn into enemies. However, how? In the “Nishachar” comics, the confrontation between Doga and Dhruv was not only with Nishachar but also with his servants Naraki and Patki. Naraki and Patki decide to determine who among Doga and Dhruv is the most powerful. To make their decision, they instigate violence, cruelty, and sin within Doga and Dhruv. Both of them start fighting as if they are thirsty for each other’s blood. The clash between Doga and Dhruv in “Nishachar” is intense, even if only for a short period, and it creates some memorable scenes.
