In the golden age of Indian comics, Raj Comics established Nagraj as a hero whose story was not limited to just fighting crime, but was deeply rooted in mystery, adventure, and emotional duality. ‘ Khazana ‘ is a special issue carrying forward the same tradition, which not only takes the story of its predecessor ‘Nagpasha’ forward, but also takes the story to a new level by introducing many unexpected twists and new characters in it. This comics, written by Anupam Sinha and Hanif Azhar and featuring amazing illustrations by Anupam Sinha, takes its readers on a mysterious journey where every next moment a new mystery is revealed and every character reveals a new layer of himself.
The essence of the narrative: unexpected twists and profound mysteries
The story begins where ‘nagpasha’ ended. Nagraj and Nagina, after defeating their uncle Nagpasha, open the mysterious treasure box placed at the tail end of Tilism, within which the prized manuscript and incomparable treasure associated with Nagraj’s past were expected. But, their hopes are dashed when they find the box completely empty. The shock of this emptiness was not just the departure of the treasure, but it was a sign of a deeper conspiracy. The same question was echoing in the minds of Nagraj and Nagina that who took away the treasure and the manuscript in the presence of a creature with undefeated power like ‘Kaljayi’?
Meanwhile, Nagina notices a face-mask lying in the empty box and recognizes it. His face is filled with surprise for a moment and then immediately with a mysterious smile. When Nagraj asks her about this secret, she procrastinates and tries to get out of there saying that now her work is over and she was just helping Nagraj as a friend.

This is the moment where the first big turn in the story comes. Nagraj smacks of deceit in Nagina’s words and tries to stop her. Nagina, who was by now seen as a friend, arrives in her true form. She attacks Nagraj and holds him in her ‘Nag-Bandhan’. She tells Nagraj that her friendship was only for her own convenience and she wanted to get the treasure just for herself. Nagraj realizes that he had become part of a poisonous game in the name of friendship. Nagina, with her ‘Tantra-Urja’, imprisons Nagraj in an energy shield and expresses her intention to give him a painful death, because she believes that the longer she fights Nagraj, the more treasure will go away from her.
At this very moment, another new and extremely powerful character “Faceless” enters the story. Faceless, who was the same mysterious man who left his mask in the treasure box, warns Nagina to free Nagraj. Nagina, who considered herself unbeatable, confronts Faceless. The fight between these two is one of the most spectacular scenes in the comics. Faceless’s strength is estimated when he easily defeats Nagina. Here comes another shocking revelation – Faceless is actually Nagraj’s friend. He frees Nagraj, but the secret of the treasure still remains.
Meanwhile, the other side of the story revolves around Nagpasha and his Gurudev. Nagpasha, who is disappointed at losing the treasure, meets his Gurudev. Gurudev, with the help of his foresight and instruments, expresses doubt about the person who knew about the treasure. He believes that the ‘same’ person might have taken away the treasure. Nagpasha is surprised to hear all this and decides to find him.
The story ends with a banging climax, where the battle between Faceless and Nagina and the search for Nagpasha, both streams, are going on simultaneously. Many questions remain incomplete in the reader’s mind: Who is faceless? Where is the treasure? And what will happen next? The comics serve as an excellent ‘middle-part’, encapsulating the backstory and laying a strong foundation for future stories.
Analysis of characters: a game of morality and betrayal
Nagraj: Nagraj’s role in this story is not that of a hero, but that of a person who is a victim of betrayal. His straight and true nature becomes weak in front of Nagina’s deceit. When he pleads for friendship to Nagina, he exposes a sensitive and human side. His physical strength is here, but he learns a lot emotionally.
Nagina: Nagina is the most complex and interesting character in this comics. Her transformation initially as an ally, then as a betrayer, and finally as an arrogant villainess gives depth to the story. His dialogue “Only attacks the enemy, Nagraj” shows the cruelty and practicality of his character. She is completely selfish and can go to any extent to achieve her goal.
Faceless: The character of Faceless is a unique blend of mystery, power and morality. Both his mask and his identity are mysterious. The questions of why she is Nagraj’s friend and where did she get so many powers from arouse curiosity in the minds of readers. He appears in the story like ‘Des x Machina’ and saves Nagraj, but what his real motive is remains a puzzle.
Nagpasha and Gurudev: These characters add a parallel narrative to the story. Their conversation gives a different view of investigating treasure theft. Gurudev’s ‘same’ doubts about the person connect with Nagraj’s story and make the mystery of Faceless even deeper.
Painting and Art Side: The Magic of Anupam Sinha

‘Khazana’ is illustrated by Anupam Sinha, and is an excellent example of comics art. Anupam Sinha’s work has always been known for its dynamic action sequences, soulful expressions of characters and amazing backgrounds. In this comics, he captures every emotion perfectly – Nagraj’s despair and surprise, Nagina’s vicious smile, Faceless’ calm and powerful style, and Nagpasha’s frustration.
Action Scene: The way he portrays the fight between Nagina and Faceless is extremely impressive. Explosions of energy, flying characters, and a sense of rapid movement have been brought to life through lines and colors.
Expression of characters: Anupam Sinha’s biggest specialty is that he can show the inner conflict and emotions of the characters on their faces. When Nagina shows her true form, the reader understands that something is wrong just by looking at the expression on her face.
Background (Background): The mysterious and scary atmosphere of Tilism is also beautifully created, which adds to the mystery and thrill of the story. Sunil Pandey’s colors and Bithal Kamble’s inking have further enhanced these pictures.
Dialogue and writing: accurate and impressive
The writing of the comics, which features contributions from Anupam Sinha and Hanif Azhar, speeds up the story. The dialogues are short, precise and impressive. The dialogues coming out of Nagina’s mouth give depth to her character. For example, dialogues such as “Because the treasure would have been found by the one who would have taken your life” illustrate Nagina’s deceitful character. The dialogue at the time of the entry of the Face-less increases the mystery. The flow of dialogues throughout the story is very smooth, which keeps the reader engaged in the story.
