The ‘Pehla Khoon(First Murder )’ comic shows the turning point in the life of Super Indian (Aman), where he not only remains a ‘protector’ but also steps into the role of a ‘decisive force’. He is guided in this difficult journey by Doga, who is known for his strict and unhesitating principles of justice.

Background and Plot of the Story

The story begins with a tense atmosphere. Crime is at its peak in Metro City. Super Indian, known for his non-violent thinking and strong moral values, confronts ‘Alexander’, a dangerous criminal. Alexander is the kind of criminal for whom no one’s life has any value. During this confrontation, Alexander is killed at the hands of Super Indian. This is where the real theme of the story, ‘Pehla Khoon’, begins.

A hero who has always vowed to save people’s lives—when someone dies at his hands—his heart is deeply shaken. Super Indian sinks into deep guilt. Doga enters at this turn. Doga tries to convince Aman (Super Indian) that ‘non-violence’ does not work every time in the world of war and justice. Sometimes it becomes necessary to commit ‘destruction’ to prevent greater destruction.

The story progresses and a new terrorist threat named ‘Silendera’ emerges. Silendera plans to wreak havoc in the city using a truck full of gas cylinders. He is ready to go to any extent for his cause. Now Super Indian and Doga come together to stop him. Throughout the story, Doga constantly tries to make Aman mentally strong and teach him the mindset of a tough warrior.

Characterization: The Union of Two Opposite Ideologies

Super Indian (Aman):
Aman’s character in this comic is the most complex and interesting. He is a clone of the terrorist ‘Suprimo Egoist’, but he is raised by Ridraksh Baba with high ideals. There is always a fear in his mind that the terrorist nature hidden in his DNA might awaken. For him, committing the ‘first blood’ was not just killing a criminal, but losing his own morality. His confusion, the pain in his eyes, and his inner struggle make the reader emotional.

Doga (Sun):
In this story, Doga comes across as a guru and a bitter truth. He appears in the role of Aman’s ‘Chacha’ (uncle). Doga clearly believes that “the law is not waited for to kill a dog.” He teaches Aman that sometimes he has to paint his hands with blood to maintain peace in society. The conflict between Doga’s down-to-earth thinking and Super Indian’s idealistic thinking is the real lifeblood of this comic.

Sweet:
Meethi’s character brings out the human and soft side of Aman. She is a close friend of Aman and understands his feelings. When Aman starts breaking from within, Meethi supports him and gives him the strength to accept himself.

Theme and Philosophical Aspects

‘Pehla Khoon’ raises deep questions like non-violence versus duty. This story makes one think about whether a defender should choose the path of violence to save innocent lives. The conflict between nature versus upbringing is shown very beautifully through the character of Aman. It is clear that even a clone of a terrorist can become a great hero not by his birth, but by his deeds and values.

The difference between Doga’s punitive approach to the definition of justice and Aman’s reformist thinking becomes clear by the end of the story. At last, Aman starts understanding that the thin line between ‘murder’ and ‘bloodshed’ actually decides the ‘purpose’.

Art and Portraiture

Lalit Sharma’s art direction and Sunil Pandey’s writing and color combination make this comic truly alive. The way the glitter of the metro city and the darkness of the night are shown makes the mood of the story darker.

The action sequences are particularly spectacular, especially the scene where Super Indian jumps his motorcycle like a ‘kangaroo’, which is really worth watching. Along with this, the facial expressions of the characters have been worked on very closely. The nervousness on Aman’s face and the perseverance hidden behind Doga’s mask are carved extremely effectively.

Analysis of Key Scenes

Doga explaining the meaning of the ‘Master Key’ to Aman and using acts like theft for justice clearly shows that, for him, the end is more important than the means. This thinking gives the story an interesting moral twist. The high-octane scene behind the truck with gas cylinders gives a completely Bollywood film-like feel, where the power of Super Indian and the amazing synergy of Doga’s strategy are seen. Finally, the moment of Doga’s ‘destruction’ during the rocket launch becomes a big turning point for Aman. The pain of losing his guide makes him mentally fully prepared for that ‘final blow’.

Writing and Dialogue

Tarun Kumar Wahi’s writing is quite effective and catchy. There is depth as well as edge in the dialogues. For example, Doga says, “Hit a mad dog to death who doesn’t value life!”—this directly affects the heart. Aman’s self-dialogue—”I won’t even kill first… If you kill one, I will kill many”—clearly shows the insecurity and fear going on inside him.

Critical Conclusion: Why Read?

‘Pehla Khoon (First Murder )’ is not just a simple comic made for children, but it gives a serious graphic novel-like experience. It is the story of a hero’s ‘end of innocence’. The comic clearly shows that becoming a hero is not just about having superpowers, but it is equally important to have the courage to take difficult decisions in difficult times.

On the positive side, the pairing of Super Indian and Doga creates a deep emotional and moral conflict in the story, molded through stunning artwork into an effective cinematic experience that captures the questions surrounding a clone’s journey to becoming a hero and surviving. However, on the downside, the high level of violence in some scenes may feel unsuitable for young children, and the ending of the story seems a bit rushed, where more time could have been given to the ideological transformation of the main character, Aman.

Last Word

Raj Comics’ ‘Pehla Khoon (First Murder )’ is a true ‘must-read’ comic in Indian comics history. It gives a new dimension to the character of Super Indian and strongly proves the importance of Doga. If you like stories that make your mind think and also deliver powerful action, then this comic must be in your collection.

This story teaches us that our hands remain sacred as long as we raise them to protect others. Doing the ‘first blood’ may seem sad, but if it saves the lives of thousands of innocent people, it becomes not just a sin but a kind of ‘virtuous killing’.

and the deadly threat of Silendera combine to deliver a dark Doga’s ruthless justice philosophy Pehla Khoon is a powerful Raj Comics story where Super Indian’s moral crisis
