Black Cat, AKA Richa Dhruv’s friend, or let’s say, his one-sided lover because Dhruv loves Natasha. Black Cat is a computer programmer, Raman’s daughter. She was deceived by Grand Master Robo to acquire a program, but Raman didn’t die then. Instead, he revealed the truth to his daughter, Richa, alias Black Cat, before his actual death, pointing fingers at Robo for all the deception. The revenge comics of Black Cat and Robo revealed this plot. However, in Dhruv’s Hunters comics, many more secrets come to light.
In her childhood, Black Cat lived in an old town with her mother, where only cats were her companions. After her mother’s death, she discovered her father, a brilliant scientist working in a secret lab, experimenting on the human genome. Black Cat also learned that Hunters murdered her father for a special serum he had created.
The storyline of Black Cat comics has changed three times. In the first ‘Black Cat’ comics, only her father is present, and he is almost killed by Robo in a swimming pool. In Suprema comics, Black Cat’s name is Priya, and she confronts Suprema when her army captain brother, Rahul, is injured. In Circus comics, Black Cat is named Richa, portrayed as an acrobat in a circus. After this comic, her name remains Richa. This story coincides with the events in Hunters, where Black Cat reveals that her father experimented on her using cat genes, giving her cat-like agility and swiftness.
In Commander Natasha, Black Cat tells Dhruv that her father used a serum on her during her childhood, enhancing her agility and speed. Similar information is revealed in Rajnagar Ki Tabahi and TanaShah. Power-wise, Black Cat is a skilled gymnast and uses her art to deal with criminals. Her costume has a magnetic tail resembling a cat’s, and she occasionally deploys a battalion of magnetic cats, which can be quite deadly. She has aided Dhruv multiple times.
