This Raj Comics issue – Vartmaan (Issue 680) – is totally fun and tight. It’s not just about fights, it also talks about tricky topics like time and fate. And the biggest thing – it features both Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruv together! For fans, it’s like a bonus.

It costs just ₹40, but the fun is way more than that. The story is written by Jolly Sinha, and the awesome art is done by Anupam Sinha. Inking is by Vinod Kumar, and coloring-lettering is done by Sunil Pandey. Editing is handled by Manish Gupta.

The comic is named ‘Vartmaan’ for a solid reason:

“Every past moment is history, and every upcoming moment is the future… but our present – it’s a result of both.”

Meaning the story is not just action-packed, it also makes you think – how our past moments shape our present.

Now let’s talk about the story…
It begins in the deep forests of Rajnagar – where a reporter named Girish is wandering, chasing a secret story. There’s a rumor in the city that a wolf-like man is roaming the jungle. Girish isn’t trying to catch him, he wants to show his truth to the world.

He clicks a photo of that wolf-like man with his camera – who’s running away in fear. Girish is super happy, thinking now his story will definitely get published – and calls Bharti Ma’am (his boss) to tell her the photo is amazing and he’s about to send it.

But just then, his internet cuts off! Bharti gets worried – what if something bad happened to Girish?

And that’s when our hero enters – a message comes from Nagraj. And Dhruv assures her, don’t worry – Nagraj is there, nothing will happen to Girish.

Nagraj and Dhruv Meet – Milk, Movies, and a Strange Mission

Meanwhile, in Rajnagar, there’s a light-hearted encounter between Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruv. No planning – they just bump into each other like two old friends.

In the middle of their chat, Dhruv brings up a movie – “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” He explains how in the film, machines send a robot back in time to eliminate a human leader during childhood.
Nagraj nods in agreement, and both of them briefly reflect on how past or future events can impact our present.
Basically, while talking about a movie, the actual theme of the story quietly begins to emerge – the connection of past and future with our present.

At that point, Nagraj tells Dhruv that he’s in his city to solve a small problem. Dhruv laughs and says – “Alright, go fix your problem first, we’ll catch up over milk later!”

Now back to the jungle – where things are getting deeper…

Nagraj uses Girish’s mobile GPS to trace him, which reveals that he was in the same jungle area where the “werewolf man” was seen.

Nagraj sends out some of his special snake-spies – who crawl around and pick up clues. Soon enough, Nagraj finds Girish’s broken mobile phone. That confirms it – Girish was right there… and is probably in trouble now.

As Nagraj moves ahead, he begins to notice strange things – signs of occult activity, burnt wood, and rising smoke.
He starts to wonder – is this really just an ordinary werewolf? Or a creature with some kind of occult powers?

He begins to suspect that this werewolf-man might be the reason behind Girish’s disappearance. And to find Girish, he’ll have to catch this werewolf alive.

Nagraj vs Werewolf-Man – The First Clash

As soon as Nagraj spots that strange werewolf-like creature, he attacks with his serpent-bond. But this werewolf-man isn’t an ordinary being – he struggles, but also fiercely tries to escape the binds.

He’s stumbling, yet ready to fight Nagraj.

Nagraj quickly realizes that the heat rising from the burning torches nearby is preventing his venomous breath (fuhnkaar) from reaching the werewolf properly. So the breath attack won’t work – time to change strategy.

Nagraj thinks – “This time, let’s trap him, not poison him.”
And he comes up with a plan – to catch the werewolf-man alive.

The Werewolf-Man Was Just a Pawn – The Real Villain Is Someone Else!

When Nagraj finally caught the werewolf-like man and looked closely, something strange came to light – a dagger was stabbed into the back of his neck!
Seeing this, Nagraj is shocked. Now he understands that this werewolf-man is also a victim… the real hunter is someone else pulling the strings from the shadows.

This tantric dagger brings a whole new twist to the story – it’s no longer just about an animal or some occult magic, there’s a bigger game at play!

Just as Nagraj is thinking about all this, suddenly the surrounding trees and plants start attacking him.
He realizes there’s a powerful occultist hiding somewhere, controlling the plants with his powers.

But the problem is – the enemy is invisible. Nagraj is fighting someone he can’t even see – and from here, the story’s thrill and mystery go to the next level.

    Talking About the Characters…

    Super Commando Dhruv:
Dhruv’s presence in this story is brief, but impactful. He’s not just Nagraj’s friend, but a trusted companion too.
His concern and faith in Nagraj add an emotional connection to the story. It shows that when danger arises, superheroes are not alone — friends stand by them.

    Girish and Bharti:
These two characters kickstart the story with momentum.
Girish’s journalistic curiosity and Bharti’s worry add a human touch to the narrative — making us feel that in this world, it’s not just about superheroes, but also common people trying to make a difference in their own way.

    Werewolf-Man:
At first, he seems like just a dangerous monster — but the moment Nagraj sees the dagger in his neck, the story flips.
Now, he’s not just a villain, but a victim too.
This adds depth to the story — that what appears terrifying isn’t necessarily the villain. The real enemy might be hiding elsewhere.

Artwork and Colors – That Bring the Story to Life

    Artwork:
Anupam Sinha’s drawing, as always, is top-notch.
The jungle scenes, the occult atmosphere, and Nagraj’s agility — everything looks so detailed and real that it feels like it’s all happening in front of your eyes.
The glimpse of the werewolf-man gives both chills and intrigue.
And the photo Girish captures with his camera adds even more realism to the story.

    Coloring:
Sunil Pandey’s coloring sets the perfect mood. The greenery and depth of the jungle,
The smoke and orange-red combination during occult rituals,
Nagraj’s green tone —All these blend together to maintain the thrill and atmosphere on every page.
The play of darkness and light in the night scenes enhances the suspense.

Overall Impact – Not Just Action, But a Thoughtful Story
“Vartmaan” is not just about fights and explosions — it combines mystery, philosophy, and emotions.

The connection between past, future, and present, The search for an unknown enemy, And the balance of Nagraj’s wisdom and power —These elements make this story not just worth reading, but worth remembering. Whether you’re a longtime Raj Comics fan or a new reader — “Vartmaan” will appeal to anyone who loves superhero stories with some brains, a bit of mystery, and loads of action.

Every Story Hides a Bigger Secret
This comic shows us how even a seemingly simple news story can actually be the beginning of a much deeper and more dangerous mystery. Girish’s courage and journalistic fire bring a modern-day relevance to the story — a time when everyone is searching for the truth, but not every truth is straightforward.

The reference to Terminator 2 adds a fun layer. It’s not just a pop culture nod — it strengthens the comic’s core theme: To save the future, one must understand the past.

What You See Isn’t Always the Truth
The comic conveys this idea well — that often the real villain isn’t the one you see.
When the wolf-man turns out to be a victim himself, we realize there’s a hidden power controlling him from the shadows. That twist elevates the story — now Nagraj must fight not just a monster, but an invisible and unknown enemy.

A Story That Entertains and Makes You Think
Vartmaan proves that Raj Comics isn’t only about fights and explosions — it’s also capable of telling thoughtful stories.
If you’re a reader who wants more than just action in their superhero tales, if you enjoy mystery and meaning — this one’s for you.

Thanks to Manish Gupta’s editing and Sanjay Gupta’s presentation, the story becomes even more polished.
The cover is impressive too — showing Nagraj and Dhruv together, possibly hinting at a bigger team-up or crossover in the future.
And honestly, what could be more exciting for fans?

So, What Happens in the End?
The story wraps up on a thrilling cliffhanger. The real mastermind is still hiding in the shadows — which only builds anticipation for the next part. That’s the magic of Raj Comics — they don’t just make you read, they make you wait.

A Tale That Touches the Depths of Time
Vartmaan is not just about action and thrills — it carries a deep message:
“What the past has done, shapes the present… and what we do today, becomes the future.”

Writer Jolly Sinha presents this concept in a simple, engaging way. And Anupam Sinha’s artwork? Brilliant as always. The jungle scenes, the movement of the wolf-man, and the mystical, occult environments — all are richly detailed and atmospheric.

     Final Thoughts
Nagraj is shown not just as a warrior, but as a sharp-minded investigator. He fights with power but acts with wisdom. And that’s what makes him a modern superhero — one who doesn’t just smash enemies, but solves mysteries too.

Vartmaan, is not a comic you read once and forget —
It’s the kind of story you come back to. A true classic from Raj Comics and a shining example of what makes the Indian comic industry special.
