Nastredamus, but before I proceed, let me clarify that we’re not talking about the Nostradamus who passed away centuries ago and wrote the prophetic book ‘Les Prophéties.’ We’re referring to a different Nastredamus who turned his gems into weapons, creating superheroes like Dhruv and compelling them to kneel.
Nastredamus made his debut in the assassin comics, attempting to loot a van with his partners Shukra and Shani. It is here that he faces Dhruv for the first time. The comics do not delve into Nastredamus’ personal life, only revealing that his father was also an astrologer. Believing in the deep connection between astrology and science, Nastredamus, upon sharing this with his boss, Dr. Saha, is ridiculed, loses his job, and plots revenge. He crafts stolen gems into a weapon, attempting to take Dhruv’s life. However, Dhruv not only foils his plan but also gets him apprehended.
His story doesn’t end there. Nastredamus resurfaces when an offender named Supernova encounters him in jail. Both were in the same cell, and Nastredamus offers Supernova a deal to release him in exchange for helping him escape. Supernova forgets his promise upon release, leading to Nastredamus breaking out of jail in frustration. In the Shadyantra comics, we see a different side of Nastredamus where he not only saves Dhruv from death but also exposes Dr. Saha’s true face to the world.
Nastredamus possesses a unique power – the Ratna (gem), which he transforms into weapons to defeat his enemies. However, after this, there haven’t been any Nastredamus comics. Perhaps Raj Comics has forgotten about him or introduced a villain strong enough to challenge Dhruv, making Nastredamus’ friendship irrelevant. But as the zodiac signs change, maybe one day Nastredamus will return.
