Vedacharya – the astrologer of King Takshakaraj and the father of Nagraj. He played a crucial role in unraveling the mystery of Nagraj’s birth. Vedacharya is the only one alive in Takshak Nagar after Nagpasha. When King Takshakaraj learned from his family deity Kaljayi that his child is not dead but alive, who later becomes Nagaraj, he summoned Raj Jyotishi Vedacharya to create a talisman (tilism) for the protection of a treasure. This talisman was designed in such a way that only his son could break it. Vedacharya, despite being blind, possesses the ability to gain knowledge about any being through their emitted energy.
Vedacharya not only holds knowledge in astrology but is also a master in the creation and understanding of talismans. He passed on this knowledge to his granddaughter Bharati, who, using her skills, has assisted Nagaraj multiple times, often incognito.
Vedacharya first appeared in the “Khazana” comic where he discusses Nagraj’s birth with Professor Nagmani. However, even Vedacharya does not have complete information about Nagaraj’s story. To uncover more, they confront Vishandhar in the “Vishkanya” comic. After a confrontation with Vishandhar, they end up in the sea, reaching Nagdweep. In the “Pralay” comic, Vedacharya creates a talisman for the protection of Nagdweep and seeks help from Mahatma Kaladoot. There, he learns about Nagraj’s complete story. Vedacharya’s own story is revealed in the “Agraj” comic, where his son Shiladitya and grandson Agraj face the consequences of a malicious plan by a tantric named Tantragni. Vedacharya’s knowledge in tantra and his talismanic powers are recognized even by Mahatma Kaladoot.
