If you are a child of the 90s or have a hobby of reading comics, the name Raj Comics will not be new to you. This is the world that gave us heroes like Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruva, Paramanu, and Bankelal. But among all of these, one hero has always been different, always stood out – and that is Doga. The guardian of Mumbai’s streets, who does not need any law or rule to deliver justice. Doga’s world is black, true, and ruthless. He is not a hero for criminals, but an executioner, a punishment. For years, we have seen Doga eliminating human devils, but recently, Raj Comics by Manoj Gupta has presented a story that touches the heart. The name of this comic is “Kuttapanti”, which is the first part of the “Swamibhakt” series. This comic is not just for Doga fans, but for every person who has a little space in their heart for animals. This story is a slap on the face of that ugly side of society that oppresses voiceless animals.

Story’s Beginning: A Good Thought and a Heinous Conspiracy

The story begins with a very noble work in Mumbai. An organization called “Sujaki” (Security for Animals), which works for the welfare of animals, runs a campaign with Mumbai Police. The campaign is named “Swamibhakt Rakhwale”. Its purpose is to encourage people to adopt stray dogs roaming the streets, so that these poor creatures can get a home and in return, they can guard their area. The story takes us to Adrak Chacha’s “Lion Jim”. Here, the city’s youth sweat it out, and here we meet Sooraj (our Doga), his friend Monica, and Swati, a Sujaki worker. Swati tells everyone about this scheme. Monica, who is very kind-hearted and loves animals, immediately joins this work and helps with donations. But Sooraj, who is actually Doga, pretends to be afraid of dogs and stays away from all this. He does this to keep his real identity hidden. Up to here, everything seems very good and positive.

But the story’s atmosphere suddenly changes when a strange and heart-wrenching series begins in the city. Someone is ruthlessly killing retired police department dogs one by one. These were brave dogs who had dedicated their entire lives to serving the country and police. Dog handler Karunakar, who loved these dogs like his own children, tries to save their lives. But the killers also murder him. However, before dying, Karunakar manages to escape his two most capable dogs, Armor (a Pitbull) and Tiger (a German Shepherd), risking his own life. And from here, the real action and emotion enter the story, because now Doga – the dogs’ biggest friend and enemies’ biggest enemy – enters the battlefield!

Doga’s Anger and the Pain of Dogs

As soon as Doga learns about the death of these innocent dogs, his blood boils. For Doga, dogs are not just animals, but like his family. He is the only person in the world who can understand the language of dogs, can talk to them. He can feel the meaning of their barking, their pain, their loyalty, everything. In the comics, these scenes are very emotional when Doga looks at the dead dogs. He is not just angry at the killers, but he is also feeling the pain of those voiceless beings who cannot even tell what happened to them. He finds the remaining dogs of Karunakar, Armor and Tiger. They are scared, have lost their owner, but are still loyal. Doga understands by looking into their eyes that these are not ordinary murders, there is a much bigger and deeper secret hidden behind this. Now Doga’s purpose is not just to take revenge for the death of his friend Karunakar, but also to save the lives of these voiceless witnesses and bring that secret to the world.

A Twist in the Tale and Entangled Secrets

The story is not limited to just police dogs. Author Tarun Kumar Wahi has added another layer that makes it even more interesting. We meet the family of Shailesh Matondkar. Shailesh has a pet dog, Brody (a Labrador), who is very loving and loyal. But Shailesh’s wife does not like Brody at all. She keeps looking for opportunities to throw him out of the house. This story shows how an animal that loves you unconditionally can be a victim of hatred even within the home. Then one day, a terrible incident occurs. Shailesh and his young daughter die. The police close the case, considering it a suicide. But there is a witness who knows that it was not a suicide, but a murder. And that witness is Brody. He had seen everything with his own eyes. Now, because Brody knows that secret, the murderers are also after him. When Doga investigates this case, he realizes that the deaths of police dogs and the Matondkar family are interconnected. All of this is part of a big conspiracy called “Project Supremo”. Now Doga has to connect these scattered links and reach the real mastermind.

    Characters’ Postmortem: Who is What?

The soul of “Kuttapanti” lives in its characters.

Doga – The Hero of Dual Characters: In this comic, Doga’s character is depicted with great depth. On one side, he is Sooraj, living like an ordinary person, hiding his strength from the world’s eyes. But as soon as he wears the Doga mask, he becomes a measure of justice with no limits. He gives criminals such a death that their souls tremble. His action scenes in the comic are amazing. When he breaks the bones of goons, the reader also feels that pain. But within this executioner, there is also a very soft-hearted person. When he lifts an injured dog in his lap or sees pain in their eyes, his heart melts. He is the messiah of dogs. This duality is what makes Doga the most unique superhero.

Monica and Other Characters: Monica’s character is like a fresh breeze in the story. She is today’s girl, who is aware and wants to do something good for society. She is like light, exactly opposite to Doga’s dark world. Her relationship with Sooraj gives the story a light and emotional touch. Additionally, characters like Adrak Chacha make the story more authentic.

Real Heroes – Our Loyal Friends: To be honest, the real heroes of this story are these voiceless dogs. The writer has not shown them just as things, but has given them a complete character. Their loyalty, their courage, their fear, everything can be felt by the reader. The way Armor and Tiger run following their master’s last command, or the way Brodie signals Doga to take revenge for his master’s death, these scenes can bring tears to your eyes. This comic will force you to love dogs even more.

Art and Writing: Breathing Life into the Story

A comic is not just made of a story, but also its illustrations. And in this matter, “Kuttapanti” is at the top.

Writing Mastery: Author Tarun Kumar Vahi has written a very tight and powerful story. The story’s pace is excellent, which doesn’t let you get bored. The balance between action and emotion is remarkable. Doga’s dialogues are short but very impactful.

Magic of Illustrations: Artist Gaurav Srivastava’s work is outstanding. Every panel, every character’s expression is crafted with great finesse. Doga’s anger, helplessness in dogs’ eyes, Monica’s concern, and the villains’ cruelty – everything comes alive in their art. The action scenes are so powerful that it feels like everything is happening right before your eyes. Prasad Pattnaik has used colors brilliantly. Dark colors in night scenes make the story more mysterious, while vibrant colors are used in day scenes.

“Kuttapanti” – Not Just Entertainment, but an Essential Lesson

This comic is not just for passing time. It carries deep and important messages within. It shows us a mirror. It reveals how humans, considered the most intelligent beings, sometimes become animals. Bursting crackers behind dogs, throwing stones at them, or hating them simply because they are animals – these are bitter truths of our society. This comic teaches us the true meaning of loyalty. And most importantly, it makes us realize our responsibility towards these voiceless friends around us.

Last words: Why should these comics be read?

If you ask me whether these comics should be read or not, my answer would be – Yes, definitely read them! “Kuttapanti” is a complete package. It has incredible action, emotion that touches the heart, a deep suspense, and a very important social message. This is such a beginning of the “Swamibhakt” series that will force you to eagerly wait for the next part. The story ends at a turn that will leave many questions in your mind. Will Doga be able to catch the real mastermind? What is the secret of “Project Supremo”? The answers to these questions will only be found in the next part.

So if you want to read a story that will give you goosebumps, make you emotional, and also force you to think, then go and read “Kuttapanti”. It is a page from Doga’s world that you will never be able to forget.
