For those who have read Bhokal comics, they will find similarities in the early comics of Ashwaraj. In the first comic of Ashwaraj, a marathon chariot race is organized by the king Chintitsingh of Chintapokhli Nagar, much like the competition in the first Bhokal comic. However, since both characters belong to Raj Comics, there is not much significant difference in the stories. The story of Ashwaraj begins with the chariot marathon organized by King Chintitsingh of Chintapokhli Nagar. However, the tale of Ashwaraj’s previous life’s fragment is narrated in the story “Phir Aaya Ashwaraj.” The narrative runs in parallel with…
Bhokal: A Riveting Blend of Mythical Powers, Emotional Resonance, and Superior Storytelling
The first entry of the Bhokal series in the horror comic is a chilling tale. It begins with the rebellious Mahabali Fuchang of the Osaka planet, who assassinates King Garboch of Osaka and, in alliance with the mysterious spies of Osaka residing on Earth, sacrifices Princess Sophia. He then creates numerous talismans from her blood to gain access to the mystical Olympak. Subsequently, he orchestrates the murder of the spies in a terrifying game. The game takes place in Vikasnagar, where Bhokal, Turin, Atikrur, and Shootan confront various challenges to reach Tilsim. In the same Tilsim, they reveal the reasons…
The brutal realm of Khunkhara, inhabited by half-beast and half-demon creatures, was merciless and ruthless. Playing with humans, they would strike them down and feast on their flesh. Khunkhara ruled this land, consuming human blood like water and demolishing mountains and palaces with its powerful horns. When another demon kingdom, Vajra, led by King Vajra, challenged Khunkhara, the royal guru of Khunkhara suggested seeking a great power to defend their kingdom. Despite warnings, Khunkhara sought the aid of Mahan Mankar, the deity of demons, asking for immense power. However, the deity cautioned Khunkhara about the consequences of misuse, but driven…

Vedacharya is the only one alive in Takshak Nagar after Nagpasha. When King Takshakaraj learned from his family deity Kaljayi that his child is not dead but alive, who later becomes Nagaraj, he summoned Raj Jyotishi Vedacharya to create a talisman (tilism) for the protection of a treasure. This talisman was designed in such a way that only his son could break it. Vedacharya, despite being blind, possesses the ability to gain knowledge about any being…
Ajgar, featured in Manoj Comics, is a unique superhero. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that among all superheroes, Ajgar has the longest lifespan. The comic series featuring Ajgar initially included characters like Mahabali Shera and Kala Pret. In the ‘Ajgar the Great’ comics, Ajgar is portrayed as a negative character or perhaps a character compelled by circumstances. In this narrative, Ajgar is a servant of a mystical crown, and whoever wears it must obey his commands, leading to destructive actions. Ajgar’s story begins a thousand years ago when his original name was Tripund. Vikraal, the king of the serpent…
Just like Bhokal, Turin also makes a terrifying entry in the most dangerous game, and that too with a specific purpose, much like Bhokal, Shutaan, and Atikrur. We learn about this in the Tilism Toot Gaya comic, where the amazing beings whom Fuchang had defeated in the terrifying game were alive. They revealed that when Fuchang murdered King Garboch of the Osaka planet and became the ruler, he sent spies everywhere to find Princess Sophia and Queen Russia, but they couldn’t locate them. When Princess Sophia found refuge in a secret place under the protection of Queen Russia, the Queen…
Stories often emerge from stories, be it in movies, novels, or comics. In a similar fashion, the tale of Mr. India originated from one of Tausi’s stories. It seems that the character drew inspiration from the six powers within Tausi – Grabdhvaj, Tridhvaj, Adrishyadhvaj, Chumbakdhvaj, Panidhvaj, and Ashtadhvaj. Maybe this inspiration led to the creation of Mr. India. I say “maybe” because I cannot say with absolute certainty. Mr. India is not the name of an individual but a group of five entities. Before becoming Mr. India, the person was known as Indrajit. Indrajit was a brave pilot in the…
Gamaraj, whose name itself carries a sense of sorrow, was first introduced to the audience through King Comics. In the initial storyline, Gamaraj is portrayed as an orphan, haunted by grief, who has attempted suicide multiple times. In a twist of fate, he encounters Shankalu, a perpetual skeptic, who mistakenly gives him a medicine meant to kill bedbugs instead of herbal medicine. This causes Gamaraj to faint, leading Shankalu to believe he is dead. Seizing the opportunity, Shankalu flees the scene. However, unwittingly, he becomes instrumental in helping Gamaraj, and the story unfolds with unexpected turns. The narrative takes a…
In the serpent kingdom, the unique beauty ‘Apsara,’ a serpent, and the brave disciple of Nag Baba, Taushi, shared an intense love. However, Prince Jabbar, the proud son of King Sheshnag, was consumed with jealousy for Taushi and desired Apsara at any cost. During the annual competitions on Nag Panchami in Serpent City, Jabbar, in his unsuccessful attempt to humiliate Taushi, ended up imprisoning his own father, King Sheshnag. To rescue Apsara from Jabbar’s captivity, Taushi stood atop the volcano and fervently worshipped Lord Shiva.
